i have just got these wheels (81a) by a mile the best wheel iv ever had. if your looking into these get them right away. the amazing for everything
It took a while for the mold release to wear down for me, but after the wheel was incredibly icy (icing out on setup carves), then went to a predictible not icy but not buttery slide. It is easy to hold out long slides on these. DO NOT BUY IF YOU SLIDE AT 90! these wheels flatspot so easy its unreal. I'm at about 60 ish mm and theyre leaving thickish lines. However, I'd recommend these to everyone who doesn't slide at 90
Pink Powerballs 81a are amazing
Thane Every Day
The first 5 slides broke these wheels . These are great for begginers and grate for pros . I can do just about anything on these wheels , carve, slide for days , freeride , downhill . I have been rideing these wheels for about 2 hours and no flat spots and left thane on the first slide . Thats amazing !!!!!!!!!!! Thane on first slide !!!!!!!!!!!!!! totally5 out of 5 stars !!!!!
Hot and Cold
They start out super grippy and take a while to break in. Once broken in, they are superrrrrr slidy, like theres no inbetween, easy to start your slide, but hard to control it. Plus, once they are cored, the plastic dosnt slide well. but take a while of skating to wear down. Liem Morgan is overratted
Best wheels I have ever ridden, no complaints.
When I first purchased these wheels I was really skeptical. All my friends told me "they don't slide well" or "you cant go technical" but man, when i broke in that blue 81a thane (which took four slides btw) and started riding a local favorite, I was hooked. the day after I put them on there was a huge slide jam. I was so nervous they would have bad hookup, or they wouldn't break friction at high speeds, but boy was I wrong. Needless to say they rode like a dream. I won longest toeside and got 3rd in the finals. I would recommend these wheels for any type of freeride. I love them, definitely buying another pair.
funnest wheels around
i've ridden and cored many many sets of free ride wheels from the top brands too no name brands. these wheels make me feel so confident. I've ridden and cored both 78a and 81a. these wheels slide soo smooth and very controlled. the 78a are better for more turn based sliding and killing speed, they leave huge pink lines and die extremely quickly. beware if you slide at 90 deg they will flatspot immediately. the 81a are my go to slide jam wheel. they slide forever while still being able to handle a lot of speed. 360's, checks, blunts, sit-down's. what ever your into these wheels will make you turn up too the next level. I'm a heavier guy 175lbs, it takes about 10 slides for me to break in these wheels, after that they are consistent all the way to the core. i recommend the 81a because they last a fair bit longer while still leaving lines. these wheels may feel a bit icy too the lighter rider, so if your looking for something thats pure butter then the 78a is for you! buy em, love em, core em.
These wheels are amazing. They dump thane, are a little icy, but not the kind that make your board shoot out. WARNIG: they flatspot so easily. If you tend to flatspot wheels, go for flashbacks, freerides, or checkers
These wheels are the best I've had so far, they slide really smooth, very predictable. The only problem is that they wear very fast... I'm definitely more of these !
MUCH GOOD WHEELS
I got these wheels yeaterday and they are so nice for long distance push and they are quite fast for a small
78a powerballs are my shit! nothing compairs to Abec thane. By far the funnest wheels ive ever had. super buttery slides, verry predictable and have a good hook up. They poop thane so thats always a plus, but they do wear verry fast if youre busting out 20+ft standies. is it worth it? Yes. GET A SET NOW AND SHRED THEM TO THE CORE!!! #ABEC4lyfe
Pros: super fun, tons of thane, good for all your yolo needs,
Cons: ovaling tords towords the end of its life. (core)
These wheels are very good for free ride. I have the blue ones and they are a little icy but they work amazing. I haven't really broken them in a lot, but i can tell they are going to be amazing when they are broken in.
Icy wheel (Blue 81a)
When I first got these wheels, they took a good 45 minutes to break in, but right after the mold release was off, they were pure ice. I was slipping out on almost every slide I was trying to hold out. But, after a few hours of skating, they got way more controlled and started leaving faint lines. Great wheel but I wouldn't go faster than 30 on them.
Best wheels for sliding out there
Ya Boy T
These wheels are the best wheels for sliding that I have ever ridden they are better then cloud rides, the sec9 butterballs, the volonte checkers, and the abec 11 flashbacks, just to name a few. These wheels grip when you want grip slide very predictably, and never chatter except for the first hour you ride them while breaking them in, but thats every wheel. oh and they also drop more thane then any other wheel i have ridden.
Slides like god
These wheels are honest the best wheel ever good downhill predicts and everything buy these wheels
AWESOME WHEEL 81a
they have a really smooth slide , there easy to break in , they leave a lot of thane , get them !!!!
81a ,these wheels are amazing, very chalky feeling, easy to kick out, dont kill much speed, leave just enough thane so you know how long your slide was without sacrifesing to much life of the wheel, AMAZING worth a try but can be icy at higher speed
I have been riding powerballs and all I can say is AWESOME.....they just slide like heaven best wheel ive ever rode n
I have these wheels on my rayne nemesis and they are awesome. I got mine in 81a and they are mostly smooth but they do chatter. I would tell you the 78a wear very quickly and as you get closer to the core they start to egg and flatspot so u cant really use that last 30mm or so. the 78a leave a lot more thane but overall the 81a are the way to go
I bought the blue 81a powerballs. This wheels have a supper buttery, controlled slide. The did get a small flat spot pretty quickly but I flipped them and they're fine now. I highly recommend these wheels!
Super Smooth and Buttery
Idk My Nickname
Okay so I have the 78a Powerballs and they are amazing. When you first get them, the only bad part is a little noise on the hookup. But after you slide them for about 30-45 minutes, that goes away. And after that happens, these wheels are soooooo smooth. There is absolutely no sound at all. The slides feel so nice. And they gave me so much confidence. These wheels are perfect. Buy the 78a.
really fun for a really short time. they dump so much thane !
Pink 78 or Blue 81?
a good pair of wheels
I've had the the 78a and the 81a they are both great wheels. The 78 leave more thane and in my opinion feel a bit smoother but wear alot faster. The 81 beautiful a great consistent slide and they rarely ice out. If you want a wheel that's gonna make you a lot more confident in your boarding get a pair of powerballs!!!!
ian joe dutch
slide like no other
Simply saying, these wheels are the tits, I like them more then offset freeride's by far,
Rayne amazon, drop thru, ronin billet 40/40.
I love these wheels with in the first hour they were broken in if u wanna slide buy these!
My favorite wheels on the market.
Damn nice wheels
Ahhhh classic thane. This is my favorite wheel on the market right now and I don't think that is going to change. Abec 11's classic thane is one of the best urethane formulas I have ever ridden. I have the 81a wheels and they have a smooth slide, leave tons of thane, and are just so much fun. As of now I have a decent flatspot on one of my wheels so keep that in mind while sliding, just don't hold it at 90 when you slide. This is my favorite wheel. As soon as I core my current set I may just get the 78a's to try them out. Thank you abec 11 for a good wheel and thank you Daddie's for great shipping.
They are freakin amazing i learned how to slide on them and bought them ever since
Just buy them, did la 35 footer flawlessly, if your int fast freeride, give these wheels a looking into. If your looking for a thane dump, the 78's are better, but they still lay thane on the streets.
Just got them yesterday and on the first slide i could hold out a standie like 10 feet that just mystifies me to a point where this is probably going to be the wheel i buy each time i have the money. the slide is buttery smooth and leave thick sexy thane. very chalky powdery sexy goodness and just look amazing on any board. everyone that i longboard with is now saving up for the pink powerballs. i highly recommend them to anyone wanting a smooth consistent slide.
Silent, Buttery, Smooth
I swapped my otang 4 presidents for these wheels. Whereas the otangs were chattery and rough to slide, these are smooth and quiet sliding. They are easier to control and they look sweet.
OMG, these wheel dump thane and they are the smoothest wheel i have ever ridden. BUY THEM
If u poo make sure to lick it up because he dont want to make a mess
a great freeride wheel
I picked up some 81a's and put them on my Arbiter, all i can say is super smooth wheel. they are very easy to break free and have a smooth buttery slide. they took about a day to break in and started to thane at the end of the day. now im bustin 50+ feet standies and these just dump thane! A graet wheel for anybody. GET SOME!
One word from my love sheredding with this wheel "sweet". She love it..
Dan, what are the best wheels to slide with but takes the longest to wear down?
78a and 81a
thees wheels are amazing for fast standies. They do not last so much, aproximatly one month or less, but they slide buttery and really controlable. i could make my slides better with these ones, buy them!!
Smooth, Buttery, Consistent Slide
I've had these wheels for almost 2 months now and I like them alot. They aren't hard to break in, and after you do, the amazing slides start. I've hit my furthest standies with these wheels. They're so predictable and do what you want them to. I weight about 130lbs and these dump thane. But I have to shave a few millimeters off for them to thane. So basically, if you want a good, thaney, predictable freeride wheel, buy these.
Buy these wheels right now.
These wheels are amazing. wear down perfectly, smoothest slide i've ever experienced. Resistance while sliding feels amazing. Don't ice out at all Great wheels.
Pink Powerballs 78a
Cons: Major flatspoting, wear down very quick.
Pros: DEEP THANE, buttery, quiet, hecka fun to shred!
Overall i would definately recommend these wheels, mine lasted about a month but its worth the money. Also these are the type of wheels you dont want to hold at 90
