Abec11 Retro FreeRide Longboard Wheels 72mm - SET OF FOUR

Quick Overview

An amazing freeride wheel that uses the Reflex Urethane for added grip when you need it!
Nothing's goes with a new set of wheels better than a fresh set of bearings. If you're not sure what bearings do, they're what makes the wheels (and the entire board) move. They fit tightly and stay inside the wheel hubs using pressure. All skateboard bearings are sold in sets of 8 (2 per wheel).
If the board is to be used for all-around riding or getting around town, spacers are NOT needed. Spacers sit between the bearings in the wheel and provide additional stability for more advanced riding.
Used to keep the bolts on your board nice and tight and/or to assemble the board.
Lubricant and cleaning kits are used to keep the bearings in the wheels turning quickly and smoothly; if this is your first board, these upgrades are not necessary. Make sure you love to ride first!

The Abec 11 Retro Freeride wheels are constructed with their signature Reflex urethane. The grippy nature of Reflex urethane matched with a narrow profile creates a wheel that is great for higher speed freeriding. In a softer durometer, the Retro Freerides make an outstanding cruising and carving wheel. If you are looking to take your freeriding skills to the next level, the possibilities are endless with such a high powered freeride wheel.

I haven't ridden them yet buttt, my friend Matt Bates has and he love them!
Couldnt realy try
Im Brazilian so toked a couple weeks to get here, and wen it came it was raining, I said ok **** the rain... I put mine 86 on then went down 2 times in the second i broke my leg prety bad... that was 4 months ago, after a surgery and 6 screws Im ready to try again, when i do will post here
Muy Bueno
These wheels are great. I have had the 83a Yellow ones for a couple months and have a very predictable slide. They also have not worn very much. Great Wheel.
grip to much
they grip to much compared to other wheels when they r made to be a freeride wheel
there ok
slip out to much
sick wheels
I got em as a present and have only skated them for 4 hours so far. the first day I went 37mph (straightaway so grip really didnt matter much). the first like 5 slides were really grippy and didn't go so well, but after that these thing slide like beasts. great for 180s, colemans, pendys, bombing, carving... great.. they grip well when going round corners but when you kick them out they have zero chatter at all. only complaint is when you do hands down slides you lose a lot of speed
Good wheels, but...
I Have the lemon 83a wheels. Awesome wheels, but i would go for the harder option in the 86a. I rode them on my mates board, they seem that mch better. Almost the same grip, but a heap slidier when you want them to.
Retro Freerides
I have the lemons and they ride beautifully. The only cons about them are that they transfer the vibrations of the road, but if you like that feel, well then you are in the clear. Once broken in the wheels slide very nicely, but they slide so smooth it is a bit scary at first, but once you've gotten used to the slide pattern get ready for the best damn wheels on the market!
Very Smooth Wheels
I have the limes; I haven't had extensive riding time on them yet but a few days where it was beautiful, i rode them hard. Pro's - Fast! - Very controlled Drift - The sliding on the limes are very smooth. (ive heard the Oranges are easy to slide.) - They Grip right when you want them too. - Reflex Formula Con's - Offset? I have yet to ride them extensivly so i can really say this is a con. - Wish i would of ordered the Lemons/Oranges as well.
pree good wheels however it has cons
I own these in 86a version. They slide like a bo$$. This is one of the best freeride wheels ever! However, I do not like these wheels for cruising on the sidewalk because they are very bumpy, unstable, and makes the ride uncomfortable. It has problems handling curbs. Other than that, it's fine. But I recommmend getting 83a or 84a freeride(pre-broken in) wheels with a larger contact patch
My all time favourite freeride wheel (86A)
One word ; Slippery as hell.. i say it so fast its one word.. I got mine (86A) second hand. it was already broken in. ive been sliding mine for months now and i only went down 1mm. I think they are great to learn slides on, especially when you are lighter (im 110lb.)
these are just perfect! slides great and grips great! with Bzigs lemon, I used to get chatter even tho I don't mind, the Freerides don't chatter at ALL!!! OMG!!! I'm putting these on all my Quivers!!!!! except I'll keep my Bzigs!!!!
These wheels are pretty nice. They are a good in-between size because I didn't want sliding wheels that were 75mm, and I didn't want them as small as 70mm. I got the 86a set and I highly recommend them. They are good for sliding but I have also been able to carve down big hills with them without sliding out. They hold a nice edge when you need them to, plus they are pretty light wheels which is good for doing tricks. The only thing is that I wish were different was if they made it so the bearings were completely centered instead of being offset.
I highly reccomend
these wheels are really awesome. they slide when you want them to, and grip when you want them to. it doesnt take very long to break them in. mine got hit by a motorcylce and theyre still working great! also no chatter and fast
Great wheels
Used to have slalom wheels for carving/downhill but at high speeds they would even start to slide out when i'd carve to hard, those were 78a. upgraded to these to do more sliding and even cruising down steeps and carving these things grip. When you want to slide they slide for you, but when you need them to grip at high speeds they hold the road tight. I have the yellow 83a ones and they are awesome.
