How It Shreds:

The Arbor Bamboo Fish 38 longboard is an awesome topmount pintail board with an epicly gorgeous bamboo topsheet. It has a mild amount of flex that allows you to pump your board with ease and initiate slides on the drop of the time. The Arbor Bamboo Fish 38 is an ideal board for people looking to commute and do some general cruising and carving. It isn’t too big so it is great for carrying around when you are inside stores or in class. However, at the same time it is just long enough to provide for a smooth and stable ride!

The board comes fully assembled and ready to ride at no extra charge. If you want to assemble the board yourself, we send you all the hardware you need.
If the board is to be used for all-around riding or getting around town, spacers are NOT needed. Spacers sit between the bearings in the wheel and provide additional stability for more advanced riding.
Risers and shock pads, while not required to enjoy your ride, are a great way to give your board more wheel clearance and remove unwanted vibrations from the road.
Used to keep the bolts on your board nice and tight and/or to assemble the board.
Lubricant and cleaning kits are used to keep the bearings in the wheels turning quickly and smoothly; if this is your first board, these upgrades are not necessary. Make sure you love to ride first!
Wanted something a little more carvy, I think I got the right board.
Wow. This board is fantastic. After buying myself a 40" drop-thru while I was in Hawaii this summer (spur of the moment purchase) I've been getting more and more into long-boarding every day. I wasn't entirely sure I had gotten myself the right "first board" though after I went out for a few sessions and didn't like how it turned (I didn't realize drop-thru's are more for hills). So I did what any sane person would do, and just purchased a new board for my beginner board instead of practicing with the one I had.. *face-palms*. Anyways, I decided a pin-tail style board would better suit my cruiser/carver needs, and found this board on Google. I wasn't sure which site to buy it from, but after finding it on Daddies Board Shop, realized that this was the right site: customization options, ratings/reviews, a video link in the pictures of the board you're looking at that describes EVERYTHING about the board, and the best part--the shop is in Portland! (I live in southern Oregon).
I got:
-Paris 180mm Black V2 Trucks
-Sector 9 Race Formula 70mm 80a Blue Off-Set Wheels
-Bones Super Reds Bearings
-And a Khiro 1/8" Shock Pad
I ordered this board on a Sunday night and received it on Tuesday, so if you live in Oregon expect to have it in no time. It arrived safe and sound in its cardboard box, and I took it out for a spin that day. Amazing right out of the box. It has the flexibility and turn-ability that I wanted, and cruises super smooth on the road. I've been riding it about a week now, and I'm still as happy with it as the day I got it, especially now that I'm getting more confident with my riding. Eventually I want to use this board for commuting, and I have no doubt that it will handle it like a champ. Just a personal note though, I was on the fence about getting this board with 150mm trucks and 65mm wheels like Arbor usually sells it in store, which I'm guessing would be better for more hardcore carving? I'm not sure, but I'm still pleased with this board and will return to Daddies Board Shop for future purchases--and more annoying lengthy reviews ;) Thanks Daddies!
Hehehehe, pretty awesome indeed.
I am a beginner and I have never ridden anything in my life (think bicycles ;D), and I love this board. Too be honest, i bought it for aesthetic reasons, and overall, I am glad I did. I mostly use it around for commute, but I do find the push a bit tiresome. My friend has a Gravity drop Kick Las Olas, and the feel is definitely different. While it is listed that the two boards have the same flex, hers is way more flexy. Her push is also farther than mine. For a beginner, pushing is pretty scary, so it is good practice, but if you're a lazy buttface, this board is not really for you. I got Dano's Downhill for my setup, and it's not bad when all you're really doing is cruising around. I recommend this especially if you are shallow like me, this board is crazy gorgeous. ;D
Great board for cruising. I've never ridden a skateboard in my life so I was a bit nervous about buying my first long board. Turns out all those years of snowboarding and surfing paid off. I think the board played a huge part, it's so easy to ride. And the design is Awesome too. Definitely recommend this board.
