Arbor’s multi-dimensional long skate - the Hybrid 2011 was designed with a wide mid-section, concave profile, and rounded kick tail and nose to deliver both longboard stability and real flat-ground and park performance. The Bamboo Hybrid is built with 6-plys of sustainably sourced Hardrock Maple for durable, lightweight performance, and a renewable, power-generating Bamboo deck that creates that clean, Zen flavor. Each deck is gripped with a long-lasting crushed recycled glass. This ultra clear grip surface allows the deck’s natural grain and color to remain highly visible, while providing better performance than silica bead alternatives. Arbor skates are made using an environmentally friendly water-based sanding sealer and finish coat. All wood byproduct created during production is reclaimed for use in other Arbor products or by outside companies. Arbor used an original piece from well-known artist, Dave Kinsey for the Bamboo Hybrid, which speaks to that “one way” mindset of longboarding’s critics.
