I got the comet fsm in the summer. The reason i rated it 4 stars is because it is almost brilliant, but only almost. Firstly, the board is awesome for freeriding and doing standup-slides and colemans and predrifts and so on. Furthermore, the board is symetrical and has a nose which makes it really good for shuv-its and bigspins and similar tricks. Because the board does not have any flex it is also acceptable for riding downhill contests. It carves very smooth and is easy to control at high speeds. What kept this board from reaching 5/5 stars is that the quiality on the materials from comet vary a lot. Your board may be just totally awesome, or u may get lower quality wood, and then you have to treat the board nicely or it may easily get cracks and eventually it will break. To sum up: The FSM is an Awesome Allround board good for beginners and people who wants to improve their skills, or just have fun.

this was my first longboard over 30 inches that i bought, it helped me to learn to slide within my first hour of riding it, sic design, relatively light, and nice and turny. mine's set up with bear 852's venom bushings bones reds and yellow durians.

I have this setup with 215 indy/core trucks purp durians bone swiss super 6 and sabre bushing and it is the best freeriding deck out their in my opinion it surpasses the dervish in ways you cant even imagine so if youre looking for a free ride / mild downhill board this is it
