Cult Classics are a great wheel, but im sad to say the colors DO change the feel of the urethane, i owned the green classics. they were pretty great but they are pretty icy at high speeds. literally icy. personally the magenta's or the yellows are the best for a controllable freeride wheel.
good to the last drop
these are truly a tasty wheel! theyre the first wheel ive ever cored and they have a chalky slide with a glide.
Good to learn to slide
These wheels are super icy and slidey after you break them in, which is quite easy to do. The green ones slide really well. These are super easy to learn to slide in at lower speeds. The only downside to this wheels is that it doesnt grip at higher speeds very well. For the reasonable price, you will not be disappointed.
after breaking these wheels in, which took like ten minutes, they were very predictable and controllable. They also thaned a lot for me, I got the yellow ones, and they felt like they had a little bit of resistance on some pavements towards the end of the slides. They were perfect for long and short standees and they had little to no hook up or release because they are sidestep and super buttery. The graphic is still there but is rubbing off. I would compare them to an amber thane flashback, but they are a little bit slidier. they are perfect for free ride, but if you weigh more than I do which it over 125 lbs, then the yellow version may not be for you, and I would go with the greens. my friend has the green and they don't thane, which was what I was looking for, but I still really like the feel of the wheel. They have good ware patterns as of now, but they might worsen because they are thaning. They are super easy to hold at a lower angle on heel sides. This is also one of the reason why the wheels have not flat spotted or ovaled. These are my favorite freeride wheels over the wheels that have had/tried: envy's, flashbacks, 5-os, freerides, keanu's, vaults, stimulus, and sector nine biothanes, cry babies, possibly satoris, bertz, and butterballs. I would recommend these wheels or cadillac swingers if you are a beginner or a pro free rider.
Sliiiiidey. The only thing that I didn't like was they have a tendency to oval. That may just be my own suckishness, though. Other than the ovalling, they are durable, don't lose a ton of speed.
Get the green
the green wheels are a gurentee of a buttery perfect slide for the whole entire wheel life. the dyes change the compound so they end up being more icy. get the greens if you want butter
These wheels are literally so good, the slide so easy and make you steezy. They are relatively durable and don't flatspot, they are sugary as, a mixture of controlled butter and ice. Amazing wheels, get the yellow with the pink core, they are the best.
Amazing all the way to the core
These wheels were my first perfect cores and I loved them all the there. They ha a supper buttery controlled slide, they didn't thane much but sugar was everywhere. I learned my standup slides on these and how to hold then out. I love these wheels, I highly recommend them.
Amazing to the core
These were my first perfect core wheels and I loved them the whole way there. Super buttery controlled slide. Not a whole lot of thane but the amazing control and ease to kick-out made them amazing wheels. I highly recommend them, I learned my stand up slides on these to and learned to hold them too.
These wheels are amazing once broken in. Super buttery. Great for slow or fast sliding. Wouldn't recommend for fast corners because you will slip out though. I have the yellow and they leave a yellowish thane. Amazing wheel.
these wheels are great for sliding! they break traction really easy and have a smooth slide. also the wear on the wheels is great finally a wheel that lasts longer then a couple weeks
I would give these wheels a 3.5/5* I have these on my wolfshark right now, and they are pretty good for sliding. They are smooth and quiet for glove down slides such as predrifts, but when I try to hold out standy slides, they kill speed and are somewhat loud. I also was hoping they would leave thane, but they don't sadly. But for glovedowns as I said they are quiet and buttery. Would I recommend these wheels? Hard to say, beacause there is better for this price range.
Cleanest slide wheel on the market.
I heard a lot of nice stuff about cult a while back so i bought some classics to see if the hype was true. As soon as the mold release wore off, the Cult Classics quickly became my favorite wheel on the market with a chalky slide and a clean hookup point. They didn't grip a line too well, so if your looking for a nice grip and slip ratio, check out the cult horrotica thane. However, If you are striving for fast freeride and huge standies but you don't want to spend 40 dollars every week for a new set of freerides, get yourself some classics and shred hella gnar!
My favorite freeride wheel
These wheels are pretty awesome, just enough iceyness that they slide a long ways but buttery enough too feel REALLY controllable. they break fairly easy but still grip a little bit. they leave thane lines (at least the blue ones do) but they are quite thin and faint. i way 130lbs though so if you way more the lines will be darker i guess. you have to hold out the slide for a bit before the thane starts to dump though so don't expect EVERY little 180 to eave a line. They wear fairly consistently until you get close to the core and then they flatspotted because i didn't rotate them enough. i ended up coring them on a flatspot (which is kinda lame) but it was FUN while they lasted. They don't wear super fast, but they definitely aren't super long lasting either.
These wheels are simply awesome! I learned how to do push ups and fulls on it.
These things are insane! Daddies really needs to change the rating on the slide. These are great for sliding! They are buttery and slide like nothing before! They do ware down fairly easy but still a great wheel! I recommend them
WHAT'S WITH THE RATING
cult master :P
Best wheel in the world. Don't worry about the first slides being hard. Just do a couple 20 foot standups and they will be amazing. Long life, and they keep getting easier to slide every time I have a skate sesh
These wheels slide somewhere between icy and buttery I would call them frosty. Super durable, flatspot resistant, amazing freeride wheels
it sux like my but
Are you craze Daddies? only two points on sliding this wheel?
My Favorite Freeride Wheel
These are my favorite wheel. They have a very long life and have an amazing slide. It can only be described as Icy-Controllable, if that makes any sense. I would highly recommend this wheel to anyone.
Sick Wheels...GONNA GET ANOTHER SET!
Okay, I have ridden on a ton of freeride wheels and these are definitely my favorite. I purchased mine in yellow about a week ago and they are amazing. They dump HUGE thane lines, they are super buttery, while you are sliding you get that nice quiet hissing sound. They wear very evenly if you take care of them and they resist flatspots fairly well if you know what you are doing. My only complaint is how fast they wear but if you are looking for a great freeride wheel look no further than CULT CLASSICS.
I don't see why the site's rating for sliding is so low.. They slide amazingly, very easy to break into your slide, really quiet. Even after trying Butterballs, I still find these better. (Butterballs slow you down much more, wear down quicker and make noise)
Get 'em ;)
these wheels are amazing, very durable! very nice slide.
THE BEST OUT THERE!
if you want a wheel that you vould bust out any slide on choose the cult classics! they wear in very easily and initiate very well. only problem i had was it started to cone withing the first week. other than that best wheels I've ever tried!
IF YOU WANT TO SLIDE LIKE A BOSS
GET THESE WHEELS they are insane for sliding and a lot better than Butterballs & Freerides, the only issue is they cone a lot, but if CULT came out with a centre set wheel they would Sell Thousands
