The Abbatis Collaboration
Daddies Board Shop and Rayne Longboards announce a unique collaboration. “The Abbatis” a limited edition Hellcat with Rayne’s new Pleasure Dome concave and original art by Daddies family artist Doug Williams. You know how we are. Everyone is part of the family over here.
So what does that mean?!
Abbatis / abbāt-us / noun. a man who is the head or superior, usually elected, of a monastery. Origin: OE abbod, from eccles. Latin abbas, from Greek abbas “father”
How did it happen you ask?
The Abbatis was created as an answer to the call of Dan Loveland, Owner of Daddies Board Shop, to "father his own board”. His mission, to gather the strength and heritage from the skateboards of his life, the 1987 Rob Roskopp he ripped on the sidewalk at home, the old Sector 9 Cloud 9 from when he opened the shop in 1995, the original oak Loaded Vanguard, even the signed Ken Bradshaw surf board he stupidly sold during his tween years . . . the result? A cool graphic screened on a proven winner, HA!
The Abbatis is fast, low and stable with the street credibility of the Rayne Hellcat and the Pleasure Dome concave to set it apart. This limited edition board will be shipping from Daddies by the first week in April in very limited numbers.

I got this board 3 months ago and it has now become my favorite board to ride. The W concave really helps lock that back foot in for the drifts. It has replaced my dervish as my freeride deck and is rivaling my evo on becoming my primary dh deck. I have it set up with bear grizzly trucks and either orangatang durians or 4presidents. I have tried setting it up with smokies on 40 degree plates but the board doesn't feel as lively.
The graphic is very beautiful. Great job on the art work! I have found some noticeable difference to the '09 hellcat. The abbatis hellcat seems to be a 1/2 ply thinner than the '09 which makes it lighter and more flexy. The board is still pretty stiff but will flex more under my weight compared to the '09 hellcat.
