DB Robot Special
The DB Robot Special is a straight up special board! The promodel board of the Robot himself, Spencer Smith, the Robot Special comes in with a .5" of rocker giving you a really comfortable stance. It also has a dropped platform meeting with the rocker giving you a complete lock-in feel. The drop platform also straightens out the deck where your trucks are mounted so that you get the true geometry of your trucks. But what makes this board extra special? It's an asymmetrical symmetrical board. And that's not a paradox! The board is completely symmetrical from nose to tail. This is awesome for freeriding and all kinds of 180 stand-up slides and spins and other kinds of freeriding that gets you jacked. But the board isn’t symmetrical from left to right. What does that mean? It’s based off of the design of your feet. Your toes and heels are completely different so the toeside edge of the board is completely different from the heelside edge of the board. The heelside edge has the normal concave seen in most boards. The toeside edge though, that's where the magic comes in! It has the bacon weave concave which has multiple humps on the toeside rail. This is perfect for placing your toes on in a tuck, in a stand up slide, in a pre-drift, pretty much in anything in longboarding. Just remember to keep the bacon on the toes!
