Why Daddies: First of all, the people working at Daddies are awesome to work with! They always go the extra mile to keep their customers happy and gain new ones. Daddies has also been a big supporter of the Norwegian longboard scene for years!
Words of Wisdom: Riding longboards in Norway is a dangerous sport! You gotta avoid polarbears, wolves, crevasses, icy roads, glaciers and trolls. You haven't ridden real DH before you have been to Norway, shredding on lutefisk, pulling off a coleman between a crossing polar bear’s feet or the 100ft slides on our icy roads. Don't do it without consulting with Bear Grylls first!

First Board: Sector 9, Cloud Nine
Favorite Board: Landyachtz, Carbon Evo
Favorite Hill: My Favorites would have to be Mt.Lemon AZ. 23 Miles of fast downhill bliss, Maryhill of course, Alpental, and Mt. Baker in Washington
Injuries: In 2006 when I was in a skate park, I broke my right fibula and severed the ligament across my ankle, and now have a metal plate and screws. The Doc told me if I want to get rid of the pain in my leg I would have to have the metal removed, but also said that I probably would not break that bone again if I left it in. So for now it stays in. In 2008 I tore up my left shoulder and got a concussion.

Why Daddies: When I started skateboarding when I was 47 years old, I found Daddies to be a great source of information. From the very beginning I could not believe fast and precise there service was. Melanie, Dan, and Sarah, really know how to make things work.

Words of Wisdom: I don't recommend you start skating when you are 47, but I am proof that it is possible. Skateboarding has changed my life and made it the best, happiest years of my life. I wish I had started when I was much younger but it has been all worth it. Even with taking a few lumps along the way. Words of Wisdom? Be smart, be safe, and always wear a helmet!

Real Job: I design and remodel kitchens for a living.

First Board: My very first skateboard was a Cambodian Tire special street deck, I beat that up and then the trucks broke on a big ollie. Had a few more street decks afterwards. I tried one of the earliest Landyachtz decks with some White Kryptos and it was on. I was thirteen when I bought my first longboard, a Skull Skates Carbon Slalom Comet with Invader 183s, and clear Kryptos. It was raddest board and I had it for two weeks then I, and my board got run over.
Favorite Board:The last few months have been spent on it and it's been in my mind since I started . . . my pro model, the Rayne Killswitch. my own trucks, Aera's, Venom Bushings and a fresh set of 4Pres... Perfect.
Favorite Hill:Changes all the time, but I've got a few favorites. Chile, Brasil, Colorado, California, and Vancouver are their locations. Come and skate with me and you might see them!
Injuries: Broken wrist, slashed patellar tendon and damaged knee, and probably 25 square feet of road rash all put together!

Why Daddies: Daddies is getting product out to so many parts of the world and are a kingpin in the longboard scene around the world. Without Daddies, I'm sure many skaters wouldn't be able to get the gear they want or need and thus the manufacturers would not be able to keep it rolling and improving. Thanks to Daddies for the support!

Words of Wisdom:Skate for fun and skate everything in your path. Slash that bank even though it's steeper than you've ridden. Drop in on that huge steep hill and drift those turns. Stay happy!

Real Job: I am a skateboarder through and through. Currently I design trucks for Aera and work on that, and attempt to live on my meager earnings from my sponsors. Being a pro has been my dream and even being halfway there is something that stokes me out. I'd rather wear my five year old shorts and not go out on Friday and be a pro than make someone else money workin' for the man!

Why Daddies: Daddies has been in the scene for a long time and I would argue made longboarding what it is, was, and will be. Growing up I always wondered why skate shops limited themselves only to a specific style of skating, Daddies keeps all scenes, styles and disciples of skate alive. Daddies gets me and the way I am trying to progress longboarding. It's good to be part of a Family like that.

Words of Wisdom:I grew up in a small town in Montana. Skateboarding was looked down upon for the most part, and by the time I reached age 18 I had already found myself with 3 tickets for skating (reckless driving, breaking the speed limit, and destruction of property). Fortunately for me the exposure of mainstream skating was low, so I found my own style more naturally. After high school I had three options, join the army, work on a farm, or go to college with all the other fratty f**kers. I choose to pack up my ‘84 Oldsmobile Cutlass and drive down to Cali and learn how to surf. People thought I was crazy and that the future I was making for myself was slim. I spent the next 2 years driving all over the country from Montreal to Chicago and back the West Coast, always skating, and keeping my dream in mind. Now I'm here living in Portland living and doing exactly what I want to be doing, making skate films and shredding up. Words of Wisdom? Tricks get applause... Style gets respect.

Real Job: Cutting off cars, rippin’ round people, and juicing up the hood with hella speed.
