It is a known fact that everyone loves the Earthwing Supermodel. But people have been showing topmounts some love lately and so the guys at Earthwing took it upon themselves to promote diversity in their line of longboards! This is the Topmount Supermodel! It has a slight drop, new cutouts, and provides for 120% more stoke. Basically this board is a performer and can handle whatever you throw at it. The main difference that you will find in the topmount version of this board is with it sitting a little higher it will take a bit more pressure in order to make this board slide out. What that is good for is better control at higher speeds whether you are sliding or not.
The 2012 supermodels also have a different shape and cutout than its previous models. Earthwing wanted to eliminate wheelbite as much as possible without drastically changing the shape of the board. But while they were changing some things up, they decided to alter the standing platform as well. The 2012 model has new gas pedals for faster response when initiating turns and slides. All in all this board has seen some great renovations and is sure to please a wide range of riders!
