These are great for setting up aftermarket bushings like Khiro and Doh Doh's. These flat washers sit nicely under you bushing allowing you to tighten your trucks to the perfect setting for your riding style. In addition, they will not tear into your bushings when overtightened. Bushing tear is very common when you overtighten you Randal R2 180's or 150's. With the use of these bottom bushing washers you will not run into this issue.

I know exactly what you're talking about theres a clicking of the washer on the kingpin top and bottom aver time you turn one way or the other. I'm pretty sure sk8kings offers the washers in a bunch of different diameters. otherwise nothing bad to be said about the use of a flat washer over cups just make sure they fit the kingpin real snugly

these are your basic washers, but with my experience they fit loosely around the kingpin (RII,Paris, Gullwing) and shift around every time you lean to turn or carve creating uneven support for the bushing. I go with 5/16 flat washers. although with a slightly smaller surface area they fit snugly around the kingpin preventing any movement, and my carving is more predictable and responsive. :D
