Gravity Boards 55" Ed Economy Longboard Skateboard Deck

Quick Overview

A huge board that totally mimics the longboarding feel in surfing!
Used to keep the bolts on your board nice and tight and/or to assemble the board.
Lubricant and cleaning kits are used to keep the bearings in the wheels turning quickly and smoothly; if this is your first board, these upgrades are not necessary. Make sure you love to ride first!
55 Inches. What else do we need to say? Gravity took a great design and improved on it by shortening up the tail. This thing is a tank that handles like a Ferarri.

Recommended Components:
  • Paris or Randal 180mm Trucks
  • Gravity Drifters 70mm 80a Black Wheels
  • IDS Oust MOC 7 Speed Bearings
  • Quality Assembly Hardware (not crap!) Included Free Of Charge
Everyone is saying this board is not good for big wheels. But if you threw some 1/2in hard spacers in between with a 1/8in rubber spacer on both sides. You could use some considerable sized wheels. THIS IS WHY SPACERS ARE A THING.
    Wicked Board
I put some originals s10 250mm and now this board turned into the gnarliest carving board i ever ridden lol good price , mos def my favorite, get this if you want to make small carving board riders jelly XD lol
    SUPER PLANK !!!!
I love my Ed E 55 !! I've ridden a lot of big boards, even made a few of my own,but this is the best riding plank I've ever been on ! The 11 ply birch is THE best material for boards this size.Just the right amount of flex for carving and cruising.I've done a lot of research on this deck.Wondering about those wheel cutouts ? According to the Silverfish longboarding forums Original S8s and S10s line up perfectly.Another very popular setup is to use conventional kingpin trucks like Indys or Trackers with wedged risers. I have Revenge Alpha 2s and pink BigZigs on mine and it carves like a dream !! Daddies has everything you need for whatever setup you choose.Carve a BIG BOY for a change, don't be afraid !
    Not a Dancer
I bought this ages ago before a Loaded Dancer. Being birch, the thing is really heavy and bends. Its not the same springy feeling that bamboo decks offer. Being 55 inches, it feels every bit as big as it sounds. Without any rocker or kick tails this guy is meant for the ground, and probably for the better, its durability isn't the same as bamboo either. The nose eventually started to break apart after a few less experienced friends smashed the front end into curbs a few times, where as my Dancer, while beaten up, is still perfectly fine. The biggest wheels you'll want to put on this beast is about 75 mm, I tried 85 mm wheels which had minor contact. While it is possible to tiger claw and other board grabs, its not designed for it. For downhill, the board's flex starts to make it it suspect at high speeds. You'd need stiffer for anything crazy. However, the negatives aside. Its an alright board, the price is certainly right and makes for a good beginner board for those new to skating because of its stability at low to medium speeds, and good for an intro for cross stepping because of the massive length. I respect Gravity for continuing to make a 55 incher after others have come and gone. At the price, even with the boards limitations its worth checking out. I'd like to see Gravity make a bamboo 50+ incher with kick tails and slight rocker.
    Kick ass board
I've had this board for about a year, and it kicks ass, it's a carving machine, but since it has such a long wheel base, you can handle speed pretty easily. It's a tough board that rides really well. Tricks are easy on this thing, but the only downside is that it's somewhat heavy, but hell, it's 55 inches long. It's my second favorite board that I own. Not to mention it looks sick as fudge. Definitely buy this board, if your looking for a surfy feel, buy this board. It's cheap and it's awesome.
Pretty responsive deck, the cut outs are kinda small for big wheels but if you get big risers you can fit them. Out of all of the loooong boards i've ridden this one is a favorite.
You get what you pay for
This isn't the loaded dancer, it isn't bamboo either so don't expect it to be indestructible however its a great board and its about $220 cheaper than loaded's board. You can still do tiger claws, Guillotines, and insanely high hippy jumps--> like me, however if you aren't careful its gunna break and you'll be sad... you might even cry a little--> not like me, but it's cool because you can buy another and it'll still be cheaper than loaded (Not saying loaded sucks, its actually an amazing board if you ever get to ride one, its just really expensive) Go Skate, Matt
this thing is huge and is realy flexable yet thick. i recomend staying with smaller wheels i got the 97 mm abac 11 wheels and i had to cut a bigger slit but it is still crazy
