With concave built into the hooks, the 3D pockets have created more places for you to lock-in. A small drop, an amazing concave, and a perfect platform size gives you just what you need to do any kind of riding, and if you encounter any obstacles along the way, ollie, grind, and destroy them with the kicktails. Tucking on this board is nice with it's size you can get nice and low, and with such a small drop it allows your slides to be easy and well controlled.

Best Board in My Quiver
Gynan
(New England)
2/25/2012 6:50 PM
To start off, this is a great board. It's mostly for freeriding and DH, but the tails add the option for some freestyle. Now they say you can ollie this board, but it's extremely hard to do because of the weight. I LOVE this board as it trumps my Never Summer Revolt which was my favorite and most used board. The concave is amazing, the pockets created by the micro-dropped platform are near-perfect, and the kicktails are fun. I have the 10-ply (Heavy Duty) JB and it's almost as heavy as a Rayne Demonseed. I set mine up with Indy/Core Hybrids and Seismic Speed Vents (or Hesher Snowballs depending on whether or not I want to do 360's with the Snowballs or long standies with the Speed Vents).
Do NOT get this board unless you're 100% sure you know you want it. Please research before you get this board if you plan on buying it (this should be done with EVERY board). Get this board if you do a lot of freeriding or if you do a lot of downhill. Do NOT get this board because it has kicktails. Also, when determining whether to get the 8-, 9-, or 10-ply JB throw this into consideration. Get the 8-ply if you're using this strictly for downhill. Get the 9-ply for downhill with some freeride. And get the 10-ply for freeriding, downhill, and freestyle. The reason as to why you should get the Heavy Duty for freestyle is since it's 100% WOOD (no fiberglass)it could very well be prone to snapping around the bolt holes when landing on the board if it's 8-ply, possibly 9-ply. And since it's 10-ply, it's practically indestructible. And don't forget to always, ALWAYS use soft risers (no matter what the thickness) to reduce the chance of stress cracks.
