How did you get into wood-pushing?
Wood-pushing has always been something I've been interested in. When I first saw a piece of pushable wood, I knew it was for me. I was 7 years old. I got my first board and it was fun, but I couldn't figure out how to jump with it and have it come with my feet. The board waited for a few years till I was regularly watching street skate videos... I was 12. I started working on my ollie and that was that. Hooked ever since.
Where is your favorite place to skate?
I have a hard time answering the question of where is best. Each place has its own geological terrain and the way that each jurisdiction deals with it is totally different as well. I have to say, I am certainly a big fan of my roots, and now where I live. Vancouver hills.
Who are your favorite skaters?
My favorite riders are those who love to skate, and have good hearts to go with them. If you are passionate about life (skateboarding), you're probably a pretty cool person!
Between a bear, dragon, and a shark, which one would you fight and why?
A challenging question indeed: It depends on where the epic battle will take place. I think battling a shark on dry ground would be probably just funny. If I had my way, though, I'd probably be up against a bear. The rights you'd get after taking down a bear would be epic. Not to mention bearskin rug in front of the fire? I'm in.
What is your current board setup?
Full-size Rayne Killswitch, Aera Trucks K4 180x50, These Wheels 70mm 82a, Bones Swiss Labyrinth, Vicious Griptape
What is your favorite food?
Gotta be raw fish. Sushi is tops.
Who are your current sponsors?
Daddies Boardshop! Rayne Longboards, These Wheels, Bones Bearings, ADX Clothing, AERA TRUCKS
What is your favorite trick?
Ollie.
Why do you like to ride for Daddies Board Shop?
I ride for Daddies because of how supportive they are to all the skaters of the world when it comes to getting gear to people. Honestly, I know that without Daddies, not as many people would be shredding all around the world... So how could I not be stoked to be on the team!?
What are your thoughts on zombies?
Zombies will happen. Flesh eating disease added to some sort of neurological bioweapon that makes you hungry. But I'm not sure if the scourge will be as challenging as portrayed in recent films and shows. Think of how smart we all are, and how many weapons we have at our disposal. We're going to do just fine, and many of us will become very fine marksman.
