Landyachtz Rotor Longboard Skateboard Complete - 2014
A snowboard mixed in with a longboard. Or a longboard mixed in with a snowboard? It's a combination of both! The Landyachtz Rotor is a part of Landyachtz's homegrown series designed by Jody Willcock, one of Landyachtz's OG board designers. Being from Vancouver BC, you know the Landyachtz guys have an awesome snowboard scene as well as an awesome downhilling scene as well. So they wanted to make a board that gives you the best of both worlds. This board is a symmetrical asymmetrical design. What this means is that it is symmetrical nose to tail, but isn't symmetrical from heel to toe. The board features a dropped platform that isn't a straight rail drop but rather an angled rail drop. That this does is it sets your feet at an angle that is very similar to the way you set up your bindings on a snowboard. This is extremely comfortable for freeriding because it lets your feet sit in a way that they are much more comfortable and used to. And we have never felt a board that is more comfortable for toeside stand up slides than the Landyachtz Rotor. The Rotor is also made of Landyachtz's Hollow Tech. What this does is the board is actually milled out in the center reducing a ton of weight while not losing any structural stability on the board. What this means is you have a board that is not only strong but extremely light. It’s perfect for carrying it up to the top of your favorite runs. The Landyachtz Rotor is one of the most well designed boards out there for freeriding as well as downhilling.
