Great Speedster, Amazing Stability
This thing is fast, but you can also do all kinds of stuff without worry of wobbles. THIS BOARD IS STABLE. I recommend it to anyone stepping up their game to Freeride/Downhill, it hasn't disappointed me. (P.S. Order griptape, cause the stuff on the board will tear within the month)
I bought the 2013 edition and all I can say after a year of use is "WOW"! The board handles like a dream, curves in the perfect places and makes me feel super secure while bombin' hills. I'd recommend this to anyone who boards, be you a newcomer or an experienced boardsman. Landyachtz, you've done it again!
Best Board Ever
This was my first Landyachtz board, and I gotta say, I've never ridden better. Landyachtz has made me a lifelong customer. The graphic on the board is pretty sweet and its the most responsive board I've ever rode. Totally worth every penny I payed for it
Im 5'11 tall and 128lbs. Which board i should get the 38 or 40?
WORTH THE WAIT!!
i orderd this a few weeks ago..(from australia) only took 8 days!!
this board is better in every way hen my old switch 37
im riding some old 852s till i buy calibers ..abec 7s and 80a zombies
and this board is sooo easy and good for sliding but stable at speed
First of all, I got this Landyachtz Switchblade 38, with Caliber 50 trucks, Orangatang 4President 83a wheels, and the DBS Abec 7 bearings, and I have to say, its very nice, for one of my first real boards. I never had a real board, until I got this one, and its very smooth, and very low. Going down hills, you have nice stability since the board is pretty wide, really low, and since it have the nice concave and those pockets to put your feet in. Great for slides as well, and just a fun board to ride. I would definitely recommend this. The board is a bit heavier than my friends boards, but not by too much.
the best board that i have ever had. GET THIS BOARD. 10/10
the best board that i have ever had. GET THIS BOARD. 10/10
Incane in the membrain!!!
Guy from Norway
Super sexy board, great for Freeride, great for downhill. And If u Get speedwabbles u kinda Suck
Decided to get back into skating about 6 months ago after a 30 hiatus. Started on an Arbor 38" Shakedown with Gullwing Chargers and 70mm Butterballs. Super fun, board with double kicktail but soon felt I needed more control and stability for speed and sliding. Just got the Landyachtz Switchblade 38" with grizzly 852 trucks and cloud ride ozone 84a wheels a week ago and my skating progressed dramatically. I tried drop through and top mount and liked top mount better. The foot wells are super comfy and give me confidence for hands down sliding at speed. After breaking in the wheels I went to switchbacks in Portland for the first time and had the best skating experience of my life so far carving, drifting, gliding, and sliding. Just started doing stand up slides then the rains started. Can't wait till it dries out.
Amazing board. swapped the bear trucks for caliber baseplate and gunmetal hanger, top mounted. when i drop it through, i usually have a randal baseplate to prevent wheelbite. When top mounted, don't worry about wheel bite, but when dropped through keep the bear trucks or use a randal baseplate.
sexy, slick,the best
I mean come on guys it's a landyachtz that right there indicates its a great board but then you add the w concave and some good bearings and wheels and your set my friends
Messed up my order
The boards great. It's not like any other board with the unique concave. If I were to change one thing about this board it would be the grip tape. It's so cheap. I got viscous after I saw the griptape on it.
Now I love daddies board but they have to stop getting orders wrong. In the summer my friend orderd a maestro pro with Paris trucks and orangatang stims. Instead they gave him a sportster pro. Totally differnt board. Now this year for Christmas I got the switchblade with Paris trucks and cloud ride ozones. I was so disipointed on Chrismas to find that I got switchblade Paris trucks and cloud ride SLIDES. I was the one who ordered it and daddies board stop screwed up again
Im only 5"1 and i love this board. keep your trucks somewhat tight and swap the bear trucks for 50 cals.
HOLY F***BALLS THIS IS GOOD!
I'm super short. Only 5''1, that being said i'm only 13. anyways this board is great, 38 inches is perfect for me and i would recommend it. Just keep your trucks somewhat tight or you will get wheel bit. But that's only if you keep them really lose. I recommend swapping the bear trucks with caliber trucks.
IS THIS BOARD RIGHT FOR ME?!?!?!?!
HEY SO IM KINDA NEW TO LONGBOARDING AND I HAVE ALOT OF HILLS AROUND WHERE I LIVE SO I WAS WONDERING IF THIS BOARD WAS GOOD FOR DOWNHILL. IM ALSO 5'2", 103 LBS. 14 YEARS OLD AND STILL GOWING... ALOT... SO I SHOULD I GET THIS OR THE SWITCHBLADE 40
Got this as my first longboard ever! I was amazed at the smoothness of the riding, and how fucking tough this thing is! Crashed it into a curb going 50 km/h and only a minuscule dint was made! WHAT A TANK!!
Seriously a great board for beginners as myself, still rides amazing after ages and never has failed me :)
Thought it would be a great free ride board... It was
This board is a monster it is maneuverable and agile as well as comfortable with its foot pockets. I however do get a lot of speed wobbles going over 25 mph anyone know how to fix this?
This board is sick but a few set backs
this board was cool in many ways but there were a few setbacks.
when i do a standup and a coleman slide my heels hit the ground because the board is soo low. the second set back is the grip tape. the grip tape honestly suxs and mine ripped off in 2 days in my opinion just get the 9 two 5 that board is fricken amazing.
38 inch mavet needed
I top mounted it, it's better. Just make a 38 inch mavet!!!
awesome board to start sliding on
to begin, this board was the first REAL board i had, this was a huge step up from my ehlers board haha... but in all seriousness this board was a little hard to get used to due to the W concave and the foot pockets, but once you get used to it , you find that its really a good innovation! this board is excellent to slide on, the drop down design gives you control of the slide and ease of sliding itself.
all in all this board is awesome, its totally worth every penny, get a good set of bearings and wheels and youre set ,my friend!
Does what i want
The concave keeps you locked in and it slides great the medium size i think makes it a little more maneuverable and its a great board
This board is perfect in every way. I got mine pretty recently about 4 months ago. ive convinced my friends to get lamdyachtz after they saw mine and i will never go back to any other brand. I do mostly freeride with cloud ride slides and grizzly 852. No matter which way you throw it the concave will keep your feet locked in. But the griptape it comes with definitely sucks. I would highly recommend spending the extra 15 bucks on some vicious. But overall fantastic board.
awesome board...enough said
This was my first board. i learned everything on it. the foot pockets have improved from last years SO MUCH! ihave had mine for about 6 months and i completely messed it up.i scratched off the fiberglaass into the painted graphic.i shreded every sticker that was on the bottm too. but the board itself is just reaally good. i just bought a bustin ibach and it is so different! the wheelbase is so much bigger. and its top mounted. i would go with the ibach. its just a tad better for cheaper. but on the switchblade i got my first 30 ft powerslide about a moth ago on a local hill.on the ibach i hit 34(i measured).
best of the best
First of all, it's a Land Yachtz. Secondly, this thing is a powerhouse. I put Monster Hawgs downhill wheels on this board and it increases the speed dramatically. Thirdly, the board length is 38" and is a lot easier to control.
BEST BOARD EVER
best board ever
This is the best board ever. Its is amazing for any style and the drops for your feet are sooooooo comfortable. Some people say you will get wheel bite but it has never been a problem for me. I have really loose bears and 70mm These wheels on it and it is amazing and never gets wheelbite. I learned to do my first stand up slide on this board and I couldnt on other boards. I guarantee you that you will not be disappointed. The only thing that I am a little worried about is the nose. My board hit the curb and the the maple and the fiberglass on the bottom kind of tore open a bit but it should be fine. Overall it is an amazing board and I think you guys should get it.
How big of a wheel could this board handle
Great board griptape sucks
The boArd is the perfect size and great for downgill and slide but the grip tape sucks i suggest change the griptape to a vicious griptape to get the most outta your board
This board is awesome for anything you want to do I've slides bombed hills and anything else you can imagine to sum it up this is the best all around board ever invented
Just ordered can't wait!
Krieg The Destroyer
I just ordered this for my birthday next Tuesday. I can't wait! It was hard to choose between the 38" or the 40" because I'm 5'10" and 142 lbs so I couldn't go wrong either way. It just really mattered what color I liked more at that point. I went with this green
One of the best boards I've ever written, the foot pockets hold your feet insanely well! Buy this board now!
I've been riding my friends for a while to try it out, and I have to say, I really like it. I finally got enough money to buy one for my self and I absolutely cannot wait for to come. This thing can do it all.
A great board with an amazing graphic and I love the foot pockets. Description says it all!
this board is amazing! love the fiberglass bottom! i would recomend this over the 40" board because its a lot easier to work with!
its a Landyachtz... Enough said.
