Flex Choices:
The Vanguard is currently available in five flexes. Check out the flex drop menu above to determine the most appropriate board for your stance weight and style.
- Flex 1: 42” 175-230+ lbs.
- Flex 2: 42” 150-210 lbs.
- Flex 3: 38” 150-200 lbs.
- Flex 4: 38” 120-170 lbs.
- Flex 5: 38” 80-140 lbs.
Keep in mind that a softer flex pattern will give you more control and tighter turns at a wide range of speeds, but tend to lose stability slightly at higher speeds. Stiffer flex means more energy potential and more stability at higher speeds, but will not be as forgiving and lively when cruising.

I ordered the vanguard off this site with paris 180's and o-tang in heat wheels, and it is SWEET. The free shipping delivered in 8 days, and the transaction went fine. I got the flex 4 and I'm about 120 pounds, which is the lowest recommended weight for the flex, but it's still super flexy! It's great for carving up flat streets, just cruising around town, or mellow hills, but it does get a little shaky at higher speeds. The price may seem a little high, but trust me, it's totally worth it.

I have the vanguard (chargers, o'tang in heat 80a) and the dervish and i love them both, but the vanguard is definitely better for flatland cruising. sure it gets shaky when downhilling, but that's not the point of the board - its a free ride board - if you want to go over 30 mph you should get the dervish, its a great downhill board. but if you need a board for transportation or just some fun flatland cruising or mellow hills, definitely go for the vanguard, you won't be disappointed.
By the way daddies is awesome i got both my boards and they have the best shipping and service!

this is my first longboard and its a really smooth ride daddiesboardshop has real fast shipping within 3 days i called them after placing my order and spoke to sarah she helped me out i was missing a couple things that i should have ordered she took care of everything big thanks to daddies for answering all of my noob questions oh and by the way im 6'3 250 lbs i ordered the flex 1 cant go wrong with it not too too flexy its perfect!!!! thanks again daddies you guys are awesome!!!

This board is amazing! I have ridden all the other loaded boards and i must say this is the smoothest best ride of them all. I would also like to add that daddies has quick shipping and better prices than the loaded site

Hey, how you guys doin, im just a little confused about the flexes. i weigh about 150 lbs. so which flex 2,3, or 4 would be more "flexy" when i ride. thanks you guys are awesome.
Dan Loveland Writes- 4 would be super flexy for your weight. I would recommend Flex 3 for a good ride. Have a nice day.
