Flex Choices: The Vanguard is currently available in four flexes. Check out the flex drop menu above to determine the most appropriate board for your stance weight and style.

Flex 1: 42” 175-230+ lbs.
Flex 2: 42” 150-210 lbs.
Flex 3: 38” 150-200 lbs.
Flex 4: 38” 120-170 lbs.

Keep in mind that a softer flex pattern will give you more control and tighter turns at a wide range of speeds, but tend to lose stability slightly at higher speeds. Stiffer flex means more energy potential and more stability at higher speeds, but will not be as forgiving and lively when cruising.

Loaded Vangaurd

First off i would like to say I LOVE THIS BOARD!!!! The only problem i have had with the board is its easy to damage the edges so I am worried about trying new tricks because i don't want to damage or ruin my board. Pro's great for carving rides smooth great flex amzing feel when riding it graphic is amazing the desighn of the board is great and looks amazing Con's board is fragile (mainly because its made of bamboo) So orverall its worth the money and obviously the pro's weigh out th con's

I used to ride an extremly flexy Original Malakai 40 with S8's and got speed wobbles while cruising at like 10 mph. Not anymore. This board is great for cruising, sliding, freestyle, carving, and downhill. I got this board Flex 3 with O-tang Durian 83a Purple and Paris 180's with Bone Super Reds. Great all purpose board. Nice job Loaded.

The Loaded Vanguard- This is my first longboard and still to this date my all around favorite board. I have the Flex 1 and I weight 190lbs and it has the perfect flex for me. This board can really inspire you to get creative with your longboarding. This board may not be for downhill but it doesn't shy away from cruising with some speed. This is the board you want if you want to carve down the boardwalk while the hunny's check you out. I set my Vanguard up with some Randal 180's w/ Venom SHR 91a bushings, 81a Abec 11 Gumballs and Bones swiss ceramics. With this setup I can carve, carve, carve. The deck is very responsive and very agile for a 42" board. Don't even worry about wheel bite, haven't had an issue with that whatsoever. The deck is as light as can be provides great pop in and out of carves to help maintain speed. If you're looking for a carving / cruising board, look no more. The Loaded Vanguard is the Carving King.

This was my second board and I love it! The flex is amazing. I first rode a stiff Sector Nine maple board and after transitioning to this, I can't go back to a stiff board anymore. Great for casual pumping, cruising, commuting. I use it everyday to get from class to class. Excellent carver and a very fun board to ride. I recommend this board!

This was my first longboard, and I loved it. I got randals 180's with some abec11 zigzags. It shipped fast and I loved the way it carved. The flex 4 was awesome as well. It says its top speed is recommended for only 25-30mph, but I didn't get any speed wobble until 45-50mph. Now I have to get another one since some broke into my car and stole my old one got along with my skateboard.
