Rider Bio
My name is Lorenzo Chiodo, and I reside in Piedmont, CA. I started longboarding because my brother and his friends started, and I thought I'd give it a try. Ever since I've started, longboarding has always been a fun thing to do, new tricks to learn, and just a way to get away from school stress. When I'm on my board, either cruising the side walks, bombing hills, or jumping down stairs, I get a sense of freedom that's just unmatched by any other activity that I could participate in. In the skating community in Piedmont, I've seen it grow for the years I've skated, and I've seen many pros come from Piedmont, such as Tomio Choy, Syd Godrey, and Byron and Miles Essert. I think the feeling that one gets when going 50mph, loosing traction and sliding away, or even just carving around, is unbeatable. Through skating, I've made many new friends I never would have even known existed if Inever stepped on a board. I think that skating has just been a great influence in my life and always will be something for me to do. I'm always stoked when I go to events and progress my style, or even when I'm just chillin' around with the homeys on the local runs. To quote the great Louis Pilloni, "Get on your board, ride down a hill, grind a bank, snap an ollie. Skateboard."

10 Questions

How did you get into wood-pushing?

Well, I got my first skateboard when I was around 8, but that got stolen off my front porch. Then I got another about a few months later for my birthday, and that also was stolen because my brother took it and left it somewhere haha. About 2 years ago I got my first longboard, a loaded pintail with paris and orangatangs that I ordered from Daddies, and from then on I've just enjoyed skating so much.

Where is your favorite place to skate?

I'd have to say the Berkeley Hills here in the bay area, CA are my favorite.

Who are your favorite skaters?

That's hard to say, but I love Louie Pilloni's flowy style, and Byron Essert's huge standup steeze haha.

Between a bear, dragon, and a shark, which one would you fight and why?

Dargon for the win because it can burn both the bear and shark with its fire breath and is huge and can crush em'!

What is your current board setup?

Right now I'm rocking a Sector 9 Lacey redrilled at about a 25 icnh wheelbase, 10inch 50* raw Calibers with riptide busings, and any slidey wheels that are round.

What is your favorite food?

Any good Mexican or Italian food is awesome.

Who are your current sponsors?

Daddies Board Shop!

What is your favorite trick?

My favorite trick to do is a toside grab check, my favorite to see is any sick no-comply variation thingy.

Why do you like to ride for Daddies Board Shop?

I love Daddies because I've been ordering any of my longboard needs ever since I started longboarding, and I was welcomed with the best shipping/prices/services anyone could ask for.

What are your thoughts on zombies?

Stupid AF haha!
