Orangatang Durian Freeride Longboard Wheels 75mm - SET OF FOUR

Quick Overview

A big burly freeride wheel that is amazing for sliding!
Nothing's goes with a new set of wheels better than a fresh set of bearings. If you're not sure what bearings do, they're what makes the wheels (and the entire board) move. They fit tightly and stay inside the wheel hubs using pressure. All skateboard bearings are sold in sets of 8 (2 per wheel).
If the board is to be used for all-around riding or getting around town, spacers are NOT needed. Spacers sit between the bearings in the wheel and provide additional stability for more advanced riding.
Used to keep the bolts on your board nice and tight and/or to assemble the board.
Lubricant and cleaning kits are used to keep the bearings in the wheels turning quickly and smoothly; if this is your first board, these upgrades are not necessary. Make sure you love to ride first!

How They Shred:

The Orangatang Durian wheels are beefy freeriding wheels with an extremely long life! They have a large contact patch, pre-ground surface, and round edges that make sliding fun and easy. If you are relatively new to sliding and freeriding then the harder durometers like 83a and 86a will help you develop your skills best. However if you are already pretty dialed in the freeriding game then the 80a option will be your best friend! They slide easy, they are predictable, and they have a great wear pattern. Overall these are a great wheel and a good choice for anyone who likes to slide.

Great for me
I've had the 83a's for 3 years. They are great for just cruising around town. I've done very little sliding but they don't seem too bad, it is easier to break loose on the 86a fat frees. Durians are significantly heavier but, they are more fun for cruising. Also, the fat frees cone pretty bad. This comparison is made while doing about the same amount of sliding on each set.
Long lasting, loud, but good
I've been riding these wheels in 86a for a while now (probably like 6 months) and they are really great for freeriding. At the beginning the break in period was just awful and I thought about just getting different wheels, because they were ridiculously loud when I did anything except 180's, but after I broke them in they got soooo much better. Now I do big standups both ways and they are really pretty forgiving if you highside or catch. These things are monsters and will take you plenty of time to wear down, still way loud compared to my pair of These frf 727 wheels, and a little more pricey, but I'd say that the last you get out of these makes up for that, also they won't break free really unless you want them too which is nice for taking turns at higher speeds, all in all good wheel recommend it for freeriding and downhill.
There are better wheels, but there are definately worse.
I've owned these wheels for about 2 years now, but haven't really been sliding hard on them until this year. First thing I noticed right away was the regular coleman slides I would do would chatter so much and honk like a train that I almost didn't even bother to do them anymore with these, but standups, that is where these wheels do much better, I've just been getting my standups bigger and these wheels just have been taking the heat, and they are still in really good shape. These wheels do cone pretty fast, I got the 86a by the way, but I have a symmetrical board so I can fix that pretty easily. So all and all a pretty good wheel, not the greatest, but not the worst, oh and if you get these, just be ready to change the way you do colemans. SETUP: Apex 40 diamond drop, orangatang 86a wheels, caliber 40 degree trucks.
Awful wheel
Wheels are mad choppy they're awful don't ever get these wheels or any other orangatang wheel
These wheels rock
These wheels are nice for sliding but not much for freeride because they are a bit heavy, you can do a little bit of downhill 'cause of the wide contact patch. Overall an AWESOME WHEEL.
Best grip eaver
I realy apreciate this weels, Looking great and they are so reponding. Fast but chuwy, rely nice to slide.
i have had these wheels for about a month now and they are my favorite wheels to slide on, my first slide on them was my best one than any other wheels GET THE ORANGATANG WHEELS!!!
love them for sliding I got 86a
Dem shits as smooth as bitch
Smooth ride
Have used these for about a year, 86a. I learned to ride and slide on these. Smooth, easy to break loose. Now, that I know how to slide, they come right around but snap back exactly where I want. They do cone over time and I did feel like I they needed some breaking in. Used these on my commuter so pretty smooth for pushing. Like to try the 83a. As for thane? I rarely leave any traces.

Cone Prone
Ive ridden my 86a durians for about 4 months and I would say they are a pretty good buy. Ive learned alot of my slides on them and they break free pretty easily after a while of being broken in (probably will take you a few sessions) One thing these wheels will do on ya is cone fairly quickly if you are sliding alot on them. In my opinion they are as good a wheel as any other that Ive ridden. I do prefer the 83a wheels for a quieter and smoother feel when sliding.
I think these wheels are nice, but i have had them around a year and they still chatter on speed checks and long standies. but some smooth 180s with no chatter. i have the 86a love that they don't chunk but they do ice out on some turns so be prepared to speed check before turns. also they cone but like other wheels just rotate and they will even out
Smooth like butta
I've have these wheels for a year nice and there not even close to the core and no coning yet. Good wheel for long lasting and smooth 180s
Nice Wheels
These wheels are great for sliding. I have the 83a wheels and they great for speed checks, pre-drifts and whatever other slides you can think of. They were a bit chattery when I first got them but after they were worn in they became really smooth. Overall, great wheels.
