These wheels are intended for grippy speed. They will slide when broken in but that square edge will hold more. The "In Heat" features an offset design, with hard sharp edges for grip, thick lips for maintaining speed, and rippled inner walls for progressive energy return.

these wheels are great wheels for any situation. it does take some time to break them in but after that they are as smooth as butter. they are way better than abec 11 zigs and are much more grippy. with these wheels you get what you pay for.

I bought these wheels off my friend broken in but with the square edges still intact. they were sticky for the first day or too but after a few high speed speed checks the wheels were too drifty to use as a down hill wheel. After that they function as a great, quick free ride wheel.

I've ridden these wheels on my Evo for about a year now, and I must say that I absolutely love'em! When you get them they are sticky as hell (wounds like water dripping then you ride them down the pavement), but with some fun they break in very well. They are totally predictable in every corner and let you know when they are about to slide out. When they do the slide is predictable, but "sqeeky" at low speeds (not as bad as the Retro Bigzigs though, the retro urithane formula is BRUTAL for heavy riders like me at low speed slides), but when you get above 30 mph the slide is butter smooth and predictable. I have to replace mine now, as they are becoming pretty coned and beaten (ridden them A LOT).
Buy this wheel, you will NEVER regret it!

These wheels soak up the pavement and offer a very smooth ride. They took some time to break in and do not show the same signs of being broken in as other wheels. These are broken in when the urethane is a smooth, dull, more pale orange. When they reach this point they slide like butter for non-standup slides. But they still grip very well.

These wheels are some of the most versatile wheels i have ever ridden. They are a lot quieter than the abec 11 zigs and they dont chunk nearly as much. They have a very strong grip due to the square edge and once properly broken in they will slide. THESE ARE NOT SLIDING WHEELS. They will chatter on high speed slides occasionally causing you to get bucked off, but there are still a decent sliding wheel. I still love these wheels for everyday cruising, bombing, and some beginner slides. I've owned mine for 2 years and they're still AMAZING. DBS also has great service and support! THANKS
