Orangatang Keanu Longboard Wheels - 66mm - SET OF FOUR

Quick Overview

The Keanu is the baby brother of Orangatang's new center set freeride wheel. Being a 66mm wheel, this is perfect to setup on your top-mount boards as well as those boards that are prone to wheel bite.
If the board is to be used for all-around riding or getting around town, spacers are NOT needed. Spacers sit between the bearings in the wheel and provide additional stability for more advanced riding.
Used to keep the bolts on your board nice and tight and/or to assemble the board.
Lubricant and cleaning kits are used to keep the bearings in the wheels turning quickly and smoothly; if this is your first board, these upgrades are not necessary. Make sure you love to ride first!
Nothing's goes with a new set of wheels better than a fresh set of bearings. If you're not sure what bearings do, they're what makes the wheels (and the entire board) move. They fit tightly and stay inside the wheel hubs using pressure. All skateboard bearings are sold in sets of 8 (2 per wheel).

Orangatang Keanu Wheels - 66mm

The Keanu is the baby brother of Orangatang's new center set freeride wheel. Being a 66mm wheel, this is perfect to setup on your top-mount boards as well as those boards that are prone to wheel bite. The supportive core in this wheel not only supports the urethane giving you smoother slides, but also gives it an awesome roll speed. Teaming up with its 66mm size makes this wheel perfect for throwing on your little cruiser setup. There’s no way you could go wrong with the Keanu. The smaller size makes 360 stand-up slides and quick slides easier than ever.

The 86a were surprisingly slidey, they have a firm bit of resistance but overall kill speed and are smooth while doing it. I would recommend this for someone looking to go a little faster while freeriding.
86a Not great
I have the 86a and I really don't like them. They last a long time but they kill soooo much speed. I would get the 83a for sure. My friend had them and for some reason they were way slidier and killed no speed but they just took awhile to break in. I would actually recommend the 83a
I've ridden these wheels for about 4 months now, and I've been impressed. They come stone ground, so there is no need to break them in. Coupled with the round lips and small size, they have been a very fun, drifty freeride wheel. I use the 83a, and it is definitely more speed-oriented; they scrub lots of speed, and are harder to kick out at slower speeds. But the small size makes up for the speed scrubbed, as it accelerates faster than a larger wheel. It has a very buttery slide, and after you burn through a few millimeters (which takes a while as it wears very slowly and evenly), it turns almost chalky. Overall, I like this wheel, but recommend it only to people who already know how to slide, as it's a little difficult to kick out when you don't know what you're doing. Good wheel.
Go fast!!
I have the 86a and I think they feel more like and 80a. Very controllable break out and very long lasting. Not very good for slow free ride. They're really good for fast freeride and holding out big slides however they scrub of a lot of speed for an 86a wheel.
I recently got an 83a pair of these wheels. I must say that they are more grippy than one would expect from 83a wheels. They aren't that bad but i tended to high side a lot with them. If you were looking to get these wheels I would say go with the 86a for less grip and more slide.
Really good at slower speeds for twirlys and 360's. Took these wheels at 30mph for slides are amazing. BTW I have 80a
I just set these up on my tesseract and started sliding right out the box. great smooth slide and very comfortable for cruising. all around perrfect wheel for a freeride/cruising setup
great wheels, i have the 86a and they are AMAZING! they slide very nice and dont wear that much. everyone should have a set of the Keanu's!
great wheels! get the 86a they are not even that icy. i would recomend these to everyone who wants to slide!
