The Malakai is a laid back cruiser with the soul of a carver. Advanced riders will enjoy sick carving performance on the hills (look to the wider S8 or S10 Original longboard trucks) and novice / intermediate riders will instantly feel at home and in total control of their longboard on the flats as they work their way up to the big stuff. The Malakai is one of Original's best all around longboards and can be outfitted to suit your riding style and your favorite longboarding terrain.

Great board, Great price

This board is pretty magical. If you've ever fallen in love before, you'll feel it again after riding this on some S8's. It's such a smooth ride, it's amazingly fun, and definitely attracts women (not a joke).
The board style is perfect for people who just want to cruise, and the graphic is something you'll never get bored of looking at. All in all, this bored is a great investment.
The streets of Seattle aren't the greatest, but this board ignores that and gives you a fun time. I can only imagine what it would be like in a longboard-friendly environment.
The only problem I can think of is a bit of wheelbite. I have angled 1/2" riser pads, the Original S8 trucks, and 76mm wheels and get wheelbite when I turn super hard (as hard as I can). Not a big problem, though. I go fast enough to where it doesn't affect me, and I'm usually not turning really hard.
Basically, BUY BUY BUY!!! Beginner or veteran, cruiser or carver, this board feels great!
