I bought these a few months ago and have been using them, although i haven't bailed with them yet, so it's hard to say that i've put them to the test. Here's the scoop.
Good construction, solid stitching. Feels very solid without being too restrictive. I find my wrists do get a bit sweaty, but they're not too hot. If you need em, they'll do the job at a good price.

I almost never wear protective gear other than a helmet (and that's only when im going real fast). One day I was going up to bomb a very steep hill, and just decided to throw these on my wrists. Going about 40mph, I hit a bump and flew off the board. I was able to use my wrist garuds to save my skin. The wrist gaurds lost about 50% of their protective puck, but its better than 50% of my arms, which were never even touched by the asphalt! Lucky me!
