Sector 9 Butterball Longboard Wheels 70mm 80a

The Sector nine butterballs were honestly fun, they were, right out of the box they had a vey controlable feel to them, thats what i like. After riding them about half way, they started to get alot easier. if you are just starting to free ride, buy these wheel, there tons of fun. and you can just practice your slides on them with out having stress of flat spotting since they are cheap. overall. fun, cheap, steezy, and fun.

i have less than a millimeter left.(mm) and i falatspoted them in a 25ft standy, it was worth learning all my slides on them.!

You truly get what you pay for.
The short wheel life and easily flatspotted Butterballs make up for their downsides with their easily controlled slide, thick thane lines, and price.
Overall, the S9 butterballs are an excellent sliding wheel. They have a great grip/slip ratio once broken in and have a smooth chatterless slide. They dump massive amounts of thane

From the other reviews posted you've probably gathered that these things slide very nicely. That being said the slide a bit grippy. Unless you're going really fast your can't really chain together more than 3 slides without coming to a dead stop. Also they flat spot purty easily.

So, very fun for speed checks and standing pre-drift practice.

Bottom line: Best wheel you can get for less than 40 bucks

I've had these for a good month. Great sliding wheel.recommend them for all of those beginner freeriders! Go shred on em.

The name says it all... Butter. These are my favorite wheels for sliding, very predictable and leave thane lines like chalk, which means they wear pretty fast. But hey for 35 bucks they are well worth it, I would pay 50 for them.

I learned how to slide on these wheels. They are very buttery and break traction very easily.

Very slidy but if you can get more than 15 ft on a heel slide i would not get them cuz they flatspot to easy

I wanted a wheel that would slide like a dream and I definitely got what I asked for. These slid brand new and they leave TONS of thane. These a great wheels but there are some cons. Because they leave so much thane they wear down rather quick and they cone really quick. After about two sessions I had to flip my wheels. Overall this is a great wheel for a fantastic price. I'm going to ride these until I core em' and I will without a doubt get another set.

These wheels were so good right out of the package, i was a beginner when i got these and i could slide so easily with them, definitely good when you are first learning to slide. Amazing wheels for freeriding

I got these wheels when I first started to learn how to slide about a year ago. They were great then, because you can easily start a slide with them. However, the actual ride is somewhat bumpy. Overall though I would recommend it to people learning to slide.

It was really hard for me to slide with my friends board while they were able to slide so easily, so I bought a set of this with recommendation from my friend. Ever since I am getting better day by day with Butterball

I used these wheels for the first time, and, right out of the.. package.. thing, they slid.

i learned to slide on these and would recommend them to any beginner learning to slide.

some insane wheels, I got them about a week ago and I put them on my kahuna creations beach board to see if I could slide with it and sure enough I slid a good 15 feet on flat pavement. totally rad

These wheels are very slidy right out of the box and leave a buttload of thane. Not great for downhill but ideal for huge standups and some techy freeride. Only bad thing about these is that they flatspot very easily. I flatspotted them in about a week. If you are a beginner and don't do huge slides then i would recommend them to you.

Easy to slide with right when you get them!! One of my favorite wheels for sliding and freeride!

The butter balls are so good.they always leave a fain line but this means they wear out easily

i got these one day ago and i started riding them today and i have to say these are some pretty badass wheels. I dont know if they start leaving thane after you break them in or if they should right out of the box but they leave little thane lines out of the box and i am going to defidently ride these for a while and yes i will love every heelside and switch heelside using them.

I ve only had them for about a day and there the best wheels i have ever ridin . i cant believe i didnt flatspot them yet cuz i do some really big stand up slides and they leave some massive thane lines but people tell me the wear down really fast so i got two sets anyone who likes to slide and love leaving thane should get these wheels fa sho

These wheels are very very nice.
The leave deep deep thane which is always sweet.
But with good there is bad, after a slide when you are starting to grip up the grip really really hard. When i say this i mean when your slide is over you will have lots of momentum and maybe be chucked off. This should not stop you from buying the wheels.

I loved my Butterballs I had two sets of them and the only issue I had is that they wear really fast and can sometimes be icy so if you don' slide 90 you should be good.

Yo, these wheels are sick.Be warned ONLY BUY IF YOU KNOW HOW TO SLIDE. They flatspot so doggone quick that it is crazy. I went into a shutdown slide, and accidentally went to 90* for like a second, and boom, annoying flatspot. luckily though, i had already knocked the size down so much, I didn't care. Great wheel for fast freeride. only con, they do wear quicker than most wheels. but not MUCH quicker. get some.

ermahgerd bttrbrrss! no seriously this wheels will slide far as hell and give you the smoothest, most chatter free slides! go for the 70mm for some extra thane depth if you can, they wear down fast cause they leave some hefty thane lines behind you! They cone quick but since you can just flip them it isn't a problem. Mine lasted me nearly 2 months before they got a flatspot and I cored it. Don't worry 18mm+ was gone from the wheels before I did it. I guess thats it, just watch for flatspots if you can't hold you slides away from 90. great, cheap, amazing, buttery wheel, go for it!

Overall, these wheels are great for anything except DH. Freeriding is a blast with them and they have a good roll speed for freestyle and cruising. Butterballs leave HUUUUGGEEE thane lines. But they seem to have more grip than a Cult Classic or Abec 11 Grippin. Besides this, they have a very smoooooothe slide and may flatspot easy (depending on your style and how fast you are going. As long as you don't hold your board out at 90 degrees when holding out slides, you'll love these wheels.

These wheels are pure sugary, buttery goodness. They slide so smoothly and consistently and leave nice white thane lines for showing off GET THESE WHEELS DON'T HESITATE GET THEM!!!!!

These wheels are very good if you like thane line even after 2 minutes. and I recommand them if you know how to slide...short and long standies 90° gonna do very quickly flatspot. (I go to the core with flatspot but now I gonna buy a second set and do better slide)

Butter balls are great for sliding they don't make a sound at all when you slide. But they do get dirty fast and they turn yellow after you slide a lot sooo if you want great slides, and don't really care about the appearance then getting butterballs

I don't know if this is just me but these wheels seemed REAlly Chattery from about a week after i got them. BUT i have to amdit they do slide long buttery but Just Way to much Chetter if you want wheels that are Slidier than this get CULT CLASSICS

These butterballs have the worlds best slide. The slide is sooo buttery and controllable. They feel similar to a flashback except smoother with no chatter, ever. Also, butterballs are very very predictable so you are more confident when going to a slide at a higher speed than you are used to, which results in progressing your freeriding skills! I already bought my second set, and I know I will buy them again in the future. They do wear down very fast, but since they are so amazing I was not upset about it at all, I was just excited to order a second set. Just make sure to not hold your big slides at 90 degrees cause they are fairly easy to flatspot.
JUST BUY YOUR OWN BUTTERBALLS. I know you will not regret it

This wheel has one of the most consistent and easy slides ever! The slides are super smooth, yet controlable. Even at high speeds it maintains more control than other wheels like it. As a downhill wheel you can probably with skill and experience take it up to 30mph but after that they wont really hae control. My only complaint is that they are pretty easily weared. But they make up by being cheap

DEFINITELY A SET EVERYONE THAT LOVE SLIDES SHOULD CHECK OUT, PREDICTABLE GETTING INTO THE SLIDE, BETWEEN TRANSITION AND OUT OF THE SLIDE. THICK THANE LINES ALL THE WAY, SMOOTH, SILENT, VERY COMFORTABLE FOR ANY TYPE OF SLIDE AT MOST SPEEDS. THE DOWN PART IS THAT THEY WEAR VERY FAST, BUT THERE ONLY $36 SO NOT THAT BIG OF A DEAL WHEN YOU CONSIDER THE OVERALL PERFORMANCE.

For what I payed, I am very happy with these wheels. They are SO buttery--hence the name--and even thane on 180's sometimes. Slides are just so easy to pull and hook back up, and you just paint the road when you're sideways. They do cone a ton, so you have to flip them usually atleast once a skate sesh, but its totally worth it. Although I have to flip mine a lot, they are surprising not too worn and I'm pretty surprised and satisfied with the longevity I will get from these wheels. Definitely worth it if you have some extra cash to drop on a fun freeride wheel.

I would buy them if they were more expensive, these wheels break out easily and allow you to control your slides which let you learn new and harder slides. they are very buttery and dont wear as fast as people are claiming. they last longer than one to two sessions. I ride for several companies and I have put about 10 hard 5 hour sessions into my 65mm butterballs before they cored. also I dont know why drew thinks they cone, they dont at all. if you freeride the thane shaves off before you would need to flip it. I put mine on and cored them. never flipped them once, they were perfect. so get a set right meow

these wheels are awesome and for 36 dollars you realize how much of a rip off the other wheels out there are, they slide similar to an abec 11 78a, these wheels feel more buttery and controlled though, they leave awesome thane lines but wear pretty fast

these wheels are awsome, slide super buttery and are also very quiet during slides. if I were to compair these to any other wheel i have tried i would say there like abec 11 free rides(72mm 81a offset). these do wear kinda fast but still an awsome slide wheel, another good thing is that they won't slide out during sharp turns, and they break out very nice and smooth. So go out and buy these wheels for the low cost of 36 bucks, you will love them!!!

These wheels are buttery just like it says. Super smooth slick controlled slides that leave big white thane lines. They wear kinda fast but make up for that with the cheap price. I would recommend these wheels to a begginer or pro any day.
