i have my carbonite as my first longboard, i just changed the wheels to otangs durian 86. since then, i have a landy switch and loaded bhangra. truly, all 3 boards are for different purposes but the carbonite is my fave. i learned to slide on this board with practice and is very light. downhill, its very stable(we all know speed wobbles are caused by the skaters inability to balance properly). all things said, this is a great board for your buck !

I had this deck for about 8 months and my thoughts are its a good deck for cruising and that is it. Wobbles would start kicking in around 20mph and the weird shape of the deck makes it hard to boardwalk and most other dancing tricks. What brought my Carbonite to its demise was the two layers of plastic on the top and bottom with the graphics on them peeled off and got a giant crack going truck to truck. I now ride a Loaded Dervish and love it
