Deathwish Skateboards is part of Baker’s family of brands and is distributed by Baker Boys Distribution. From what we gather, Baker was becoming so big and the family was growing at a such a rapid rate that they could not sustain having just one board company after the fall of Bootleg Skateboards. As members of Baker decided to branch out and do their own thing under Andrew Reynolds’ guidance, they launched Deathwish and have kept up with Baker’s uncensored tradition ever since. After releasing their first video Baker has a Deathwish, the brand really launched into its own proprietary brand. They treat members of the team like Erik Ellington, Lizard King, Slash, and Neen Williams like a family - in the same way as Baker does. Deathwish has continued to film for greater projects in the skateboarding world while keeping up with the party lifestyle phase that many young people go through in their lives. The art continues to have many drug references and subtle psychedelic aesthetics. Once team member Antwuan Dixon gets released from prison we can expect to see Deathwish hit the map harder than ever behind the young heroes perfecting style and finesse. Baker has a Deathwish and that Deathwish is here to stay.
