Pictured to the left is a killer street luge produced by Chris Kalkhoven. The luge is constructed from 60/61 Aircraft Grade Aluminum. Chris drilled out the pan and body for a lighter weight and a super cool look. This street luge took many hours to construct. Chris Kalkhovencompletes this luge with: Exskate Cherry Bomb Wheels and Randal Competition Street Luge Trucks.Currently we are running the 83mm Abec11 Flywheels on our street luges and they are working way better than the Exskate Cherry Bombs. If you are interested in building street luge similar to this one you will need a shop with lotsa cool metal working tools and the knowledge to use them. If you do not have these tools or know anything about metal working then don't bother wasting your time and money trying to create one of these beasts. The luge pictured is a culmination of ideas that we collected and concieved since 1995.

Our first street luges where made from snow ski's and plywood and they worked great for 30MPH and under. Slowly we began to toy around with aluminum so we could safely increase our top speeds. I can tell you that our first luge did not look anything like this one. It was very blocky and asthetically unappealing. It rode like and indy car but it looked kinda like a pinto. Chris Kalkoven dedicated many hours of his time to create the master piece you are viewing in your web browser. It took about 86 shots of espresso, 25 packs of camel fitlerless, and lots of medicinal herbs to drill all those holes. Thanks for taking a look a our street luge example and we hope to see you up in the mountains bombin hills!
