Otis the Rocky Bomber Dog at the DBS Ramp

ABOUT POST

Many of you may know Otis as the dog on the Eastside Rocky Bomber deck. Otis is a Catahoula Leopard Dog and the Louisiana state dog. Cata "What" is what most people say or think when they hear that name. The rest know this dog well as an exceptional and athletic breed capable of being trained to do many things, while also being amazingly mild mannered and gentile despite his size. Otis and I decided to visit the Daddies Board Shop ramp one day. After heavily licking and greeting all the shop employees and some of the customers, he found the ramp in the back warehouse. And immediately convinced me to skate with him. He waits patiently till I drop in, and then rushes like a wild banshee down the ramp following me back and forth. It is quite a site to see a 90 pound hound riding a halfpipe as fast as can be. And that is why there are only these shots of him at rest, he's just a blur...Thanks to shop employee Eric Hoang for attempting to capture this speed maniac on camera. He is truly the cheetah of dogs. As a working breed, his main job living in the city is to pull me on my longboard for about 5 miles a day. He is able to take me up to 25plus mph on flat. To say the least it's a pretty crazy ride especially on wet pavement...Look for some upcoming gopro videos of Otis at work...
