P-Town Throwdown 2014 date set for May 25th. This is the 10th anniversary Mt.Tabor to Sellowood park longboard race in Portland, Oregon. And the longest running skateboard event in Portland. It is also a food raising event for Oregon Food Bank. Anyone and everyone is welcome to enter as long as they wear a helmet and obey traffic laws. Every participate must bring 4 cans of food to enter with every 4 cans equaling 1 extra raffle ticket. There is a prize raffle at the end for all the donated gear from our many generous sponsors including Daddies Board Shop. After the raffle everyone is invited to join the free pizza party at Hot Lips Pizza on Hawthorne. This is one of the best annual skate events in the area and celebrates Portland's skate law and City Ordinance 20.12.205 stating skateboarding is a legal form of transportation in the city. And that skateboarders can skate in the road and bike lanes like bikes do and follow all the same traffic laws.
