Thanks to landyachtz for making such an epic board!
As a little background I've been skating for about two years and I've had this board for 3 weeks or so. I haven't hit any huge hills on it yet but I've spent a lot of time doing freeride on it and have probably maxed out at 30 mph tops on this board so far. I'm currently riding on the widest wheelbase of 24''
Kicktail- The kick is one of the biggest features that attracted me to this board. It's huge. It's perfect for manuals and generally makes the board really fun. It's pretty functional for ollies but the board is kind of heavy making it hard to do flip tricks. It's totally doable if you are persistent, but I don't really see much of a point in it.
Concave- The cave on this board is decent enough. It's really simple which is nice if you get overwhelmed stepping on the 2013 wolfshark like I do. The concave is comparable to a lot of similar decks like the comet ethos. The greatest part of it is there is a tiny pocket between the wheel wells and the kick where you can put your foot for slides. It's great for 180s because your foot is placed beyond the rear truck giving you way more leverage over the deck. I've heard its a bit harder to hold out slides on this style of deck because of that but I haven't noticed that personally.
Durability- Meh. The kick gets pretty beat up pretty fast (which is to be expected) and the paint chipped where I got wheel bite on the rear left wheel well. I have lightly curbed it and it has showed some damage but it hasn't de-laminated at all. I would recommend against curbing this board as I am really not certain it would stand up well. Aside from that its fine. This thing is certainly not a tank but it will last a long time if you treat it well. Be nice to this board.
Stability- This board has a really small wheelbase for downhill. If you are an experienced downhill rider that won't be a problem at all. This board should be able to do whatever you can do. Generally speaking if you are trying to get a deck for only bombing then I would avoid getting this board. That being said you won't have serious problems going fast if you want to. It's just a bit squirrely.
Clearance- This board has great wheel wells. It can take up to 75 mm wheels with very little bite. You can't ride it super loose on 75s but you easily could with 70s.
Get this board if you love to ride and want an all around board that is steezy for everything. Cheers :)
