Description:

A classic in the downhill world, the Landyachtz Switchblade 36 kills it. Suitable for all riding styles, whether it be downhill, freeride, or just general riding, this board does it all. The symmetrical shape suits all of your freeriding and sliding needs. No matter what direction your ride is, it'll ride the same. Being both drop down and drop through, the Switchblade 40 lowers your center of gravity immensely for the extra stability. But you can choose to mount it either on top for extra grip, or drop through for easy sliding. This board also comes in 3 different sizes to suit your style perfectly. The Switchblade 40 is the longest of the Switchblade series, giving you tons of stability. The 40 is the original size Switchblade and it will give you confidence to bomb any size hill, while still being fun for cruising and locking you in for freeriding.

Amazing!
This board is my second one, and boy am I glad that I have it. It rides extremely well right out of the box and it kills at free ride and downhill. The foot pockets on this are amazing and really keep you locked in and help you turn. I find that the w concave is also amazing. The hollow tech on this board makes it extremely light and all of my friends who I ride with take note of that and wish that theirs was like mine. I was worried about getting a 40'' inch longboard mainly because I'm 5'8'', but I love the size because it really holds my stance together. I would go with this length of the board rather than a shorter version of because how stable it will be at downhill when you really do start to bomb hills. Over all, I love this board and would recommend it on every level possible.

My setup:
Landyachtz Switchblade 40
Bear Gen 5 trucks
Blood orange alpine series 73mm 82a and mini zombie hawgs 78a
Bones super reds bearings
The switchblade 40
The 40. My black betty board. It rides well, Pushes extremely well for its wEight, and is amazing for pretty much every style of riding. I Do a lot of freeride with it as well as some downhill, but not balls to the walls fast. Very cOmfortable under the feet. The w concave is perfect for dh and some fast freeride, but my favorite feature is by far the double drop deck. Being drop through the board is very stable, but the drop deck is even lower to the road so it feels like your riding in a porsche 914(im a car guy too). The foot pockets are amazing for sliding and helps out beginners who want to slIde more. I do some ldp and it feels amazing to just push once and glide for 40 Seconds. A grEat all around board and wonderful addition to my quiver.
I recommend some blood orange griptape or some grIptape with much more grip and a much bigger grit amount. Also run some 73mm plus wheels. It will help with the scraping of the deck a littlebit.

Setup:
Trucks: paris v2 blAckouts 50 degree
Wheels: oRangatang durians 83a 75mm wheel
Bushings: oRangatang Nipples 87a purple nurples
Bearings: rout ceramic ball BuiLt-in
Grip: blood orange purple high grit griptape
A thorough review
I'm not going to say what everyone else says. So for starters, I'd love to point out that when you are riding this board, BE CAREFUL for speed bumps on the roads because if you try going over one, you'll scrape the bottom of your board but personally it actually looks kinda cool hahaha. And the great thing about it is even if it gets a scrape, you can still see the graphic underneath because of the fiberglass bottom sheet. Also don't go off curbs unless you know how to manual off of one like myself. Those are probably the only downsides besides the grip tape because fyi landyachtz makes so-so grip tape but it never bothered me considering the foot pockets on the board are extremely useful and actually better than I expected. Also, it's a really low to the ground as everyone else says so with that being said, it's a lot easier to push. it knocks out the fact that it's heavy because it isn't really light but it isn't super heavy. I have a pair of cast ronins on mine and I know not many people have the money for that but if you do I HIGHLY RECCOMEND THESE! I've ridden bears, Paris, and calibers, but ronins has been by faaar the smoothest and turniest truck even though it has outstanding stability. Like many other people have noted, if you weigh around 140 or 150, I do think that you should get a bushing a bit harder. like maybe just a couple duros more. Anyways, back to the board. It is very wide and let's your feet stand on it very comfortably. Great concave like seriously some of the best I've ever ridden. This board of course is for anyone that likes forty inches but I am 5'10 or 5'11 and it fits me PERFECTLY. I think if you have a pretty normal or average stance, and you are around my height then it's be perfect. I don't think anyone should ride the 36 inch unless you are like 5'2 because although it says 40 inch. it feels more like a 36 inch. I've had mine for more than a month and have curbed it a couple times and it has proven to be very durable but I still think you should but some nose gaurds to be safe. I think that's been enough so that'll conclude my review.

For people too lazy to read all that^ XD

This board is awesome!
I recieved this board yesterday with Bear 840's, Otang Durian, Bones Super Reds and stock bushings. I took it with me to a local hill and I reached 35mph, and no speed wobbles at all! This board is a must have for taller people who likes to do a lot of Downhill and Freeride.

Awesome board!!!

This month, all orders over $19.95 get the newest sticker of the month. When robots take over the world, it will surely be more or less like when humans did: Some will be jerks, some will gather all the power, and some will just want to shred.
