Sector 9 Butterball Longboard Wheels 70mm 80a - SET OF FOUR

Quick Overview

Buttery center-set wheels made with Sector 9's Slide Urethane. Slide prepped and ready for shredding!
If the board is to be used for all-around riding or getting around town, spacers are NOT needed. Spacers sit between the bearings in the wheel and provide additional stability for more advanced riding.
Used to keep the bolts on your board nice and tight and/or to assemble the board.
Lubricant and cleaning kits are used to keep the bearings in the wheels turning quickly and smoothly; if this is your first board, these upgrades are not necessary. Make sure you love to ride first!
Nothing's goes with a new set of wheels better than a fresh set of bearings. If you're not sure what bearings do, they're what makes the wheels (and the entire board) move. They fit tightly and stay inside the wheel hubs using pressure. All skateboard bearings are sold in sets of 8 (2 per wheel).

The 70mm Sector 9 Butterballs wheels are pure ooey, gooey, buttery goodness. Their pre-ground surface and round edges let you break into slides without any resistance whatsoever. The buttery urethane of the Sector 9 Butterballs wheels are 80a durometer and offers a perfect amount of slip versus grip. They grip up when you want them too, otherwise when sliding they are insanely smooth and insanely predictable. For those of you looking for a wheel that is going to leave some serious thane lines behind then you have found your wheel; go paint the streets with these bad boys! The Sector 9 Butterballs are an epic wheel for an amazing price. For wheels this affordable you may as well pick up two sets!

Customer Reviews

My 3rd set already love em
If u love to slide like butter then these are the wheels for u and id say get the 70mm bc they do wear kinda fast of if u pick the 70mm over the 65mm u will get t twice the life but once again if u freeride and slide these are ur wheels without a doubt
Ehhh flatspots...
So I picked up a set of these at my local zumiez sorta just an impulse buy because I needed
new wheels and I see these everywhere. Here's my issue with these: one of the wheels still had the skin on it - no stone ground finish like the other 3. Not a big deal but c’mon Sector 9 quality control. Not like it made a difference in a few slides they were all the same. they weren't icey moderate lines and a decent amount of pushback in the slide which I like. they did have one major flaw and that was a serious lack of flatspot resistance. I couldn't get all the way to the core without basically riding on squares. Not a wheel I'd recommend. If I had to give a recommendation I'd recommend Free Thoughts or Free Quincys. both have and amazing slide and are virtually impossible to flatspot.
Great but then...
These wheels were awesome in the beginning, chalky is the only word I can use to describe them. After riding them for a while they chatter all the time on any road no matter what slide I do. Also, mine NEVER thaned at all, not even once. If I had the money I would get another set just to be sure, but when their are better wheels out there, I don't care to take the risk. Hopefully the closer I get to the core they might get better but I wouldn't buy them again. Maybe its a bad set.
the coolest of beans
These wheels are genuine, they slide like ice when they get broken in. They do wear down fast, but if i were to recommend a good slide wheel, butterballs are the way to go.
Good but not the best
They are a fine wheel for sliding but there are better wheels for the price.
Great wheels, despite me getting a set likely from a bad batch, They didn't start thaning until a long time after I got them. Nonetheless, great wheels, they are easy to control and predictable.
One of my favorites
One of my favorite beginning wheels. Treated me great. All you gotta do is get through the first layer of the wheel, then you hit the butter.
Ok Beginner wheel
These were my very first freeride wheel after having some cruising wheels. At the time, I thought that they were the $hit, they were super easy to kick out. However, after I started riding at faster speeds and tried to hold them out, they were super icy and not very predictable. They thane a little, which is kinda nice to have at a slow speed. The main problem i have with this wheel is the price. At 43.00, there are much higher quality freeride wheels out there that would work perfectly for any beginner or pro rider. My personal recommendations would be pink powerballs, volante checkers, or liam morgans.
preety nice wheel
the sector9 butterball is a nice wheel I almost have them cored I recommend it for all sorts off riders
Beginner wheel
These are wheels you buy if you are new to longboarding and dont know what the good wheels are. Pretty loud and unpredictable and definetly not the cheapest on the market

This month, all orders over $19.95 get the newest sticker of the month. When robots take over the world, it will surely be more or less like when humans did: Some will be jerks, some will gather all the power, and some will just want to shred. Ted Cocuzza envisions a world where robots still have the freedom to throw a steezy layback grind on a DIY spot when they feel the need.

As always, every order will come with two free classic Daddies stickers at no cost. We know... we're sweet.
