They have a really nice predictable and consistent glidey slide. Every time you go to throw out a slide, you know exactly what to expect. A nice release, a smooth slide, and a clean hookup. They give you the perfect amount of resistance and slide for days. I always feel confident riding These wheels.
When I first started riding them, I did some downhill on them and they were great. They gripped corners well and slid where I wanted them to. I haven't done any downhill on them in a while because I'm not sure how the grip has held up since they have been getting worn down, and not to mention I have another set of pure downhill wheels. I imagine that they would still be fine if I took them out on a run though.
They are extremely durable. I got the 74.5 mm ones and have just now gotten them down to 66 mm. The amount of riding I have put into These wheels would have cored many other wheels. They are also very flat spot resistant. When I got These, I had a really bad habit of going 90. I've fixed that now, but all the times I did go 90 with them they never flat spotted. They don't thane, which is fine by me, but on certain pavements they do leave dark brown or black lines. I'm not sure exactly how that works out but it looks cool regardless.
These are a bit pricey but it is so worth it. They'll last you so long that they will end up saving you money because won't have to replace them any time soon.
I've tried out many freeride wheels such as Freerides, No Skoolz, Fly Wheels, Stims, Race Forms, 9Balls, Swingers, Classics, but none of them have compared to These. They are easily my favorite wheel I've ever ridden and I couldn't be happier with them. Thank you These for making such an awesome wheel. I highly recommend These to everyone.
I would recommend the 717's to beginners or riders who slide at slow speeds because of the little resistance they offer.
simply they glid, get a pair of these
