Actually, it comes down to family. We’ve been around for a while. We sold our first skateboards and snowboards in 1995 out of our 700 sq ft. shop in Portland, Oregon. We fell in love with longboarding in 1999 and have now sold them to hundreds of thousands of customers (not a typo) ALL OVER THE WORLD.
We have a good time here at Daddies, but we take our work seriously. Longboarders have graciously rewarded us for our efforts by voting Daddies the Best Online Skate Shop three times. And Bizrate has also awarded us their Circle of Excellence seal for Best Online Customer Service three years in a row.
We know that the only way to make a living doing what we love is to treat our customers better than anyone. We’re not the biggest company in the world (yet - we do have plans for world domination), but we’d put our customer service to the test against anyone. How do we show our love? We work to have the best prices, carry an enormous selection of gear, pick up the phone and answer emails quickly, know our product, and ship super fast. Oh - and we fix our mistakes. No business is perfect and on those rare occasions when we make mistakes, we take care of our customers every time.
We live what we sell. We ride it, wear it, test it, take naps with it, and ride it some more. Our goal is to be nothing short of the premier source of information for anything we sell, and we don’t sell anything we don’t know well.
