It's Spring and we are ecstatic to receive all the new Landyachtz Boards!  They have been one of the most popular longboarding brands for good reason.  And have been delivering new boards and graphics this time of year for over 20 years now.  With a huge variety of styles covering all disciplines of longboard skating, there is a lot to consider.   We'll go over some of their newest boards but first check out this first look video of their latest downhill and freeride longboards.  And yes includes the return of the almighty Landyachtz WOLFSHARK.  It was first released in 2011 and became one of the most popular boards for the next five years.  So many of you have been requesting it since it disappeared in 2016.  Now it's back for 2024 with the same iconic graphic but updated for modern downhill skating.  Take a sneak peak at it's new features!

Here's some of their new boards from left to right.  First up is the Ripper Forager with the mushroom graphics.  This is a sweet single kick cruiser longboard with a 36” length by 9” width.  It has rocker and flex with some concave to give a great balance of carving and dampening while keeping low to the ground.  A great first longboard that can be setup with either traditional skate trucks or 9-10” longboard trucks along with 65-72mm wheels.  Next up is 42” by 9.5” Big Dipper board with the dark wood stain and classic Landy logo.  This is a bigger version of the Ripper without the upturned kicktail.  So a good choice for a bigger rider or one who really likes a lot of platform to move around on like a surf board.   Next is their dedicated Longboard Dancing board called the stratus which has been out before.  New for this year is the beautiful colored graphic.  It has all the features a true dance board has including double kicks and only gripped at the tails so it's easy to slide your feet around when performing twists and spins.   The Stratus is 46” x 9.5 and there is a smaller version with the same new graphic called the Tony Danza that is 40” x 8.5” for smaller riders.  On the far right is a new board called the Dodger Flower that is made of fiberglass on top and bottom sandwiched around thin maple plies.  This lightweight unique board has camber (arced up) so when you stand on it it flexes to straight and gives you return energy when you carve.  This is unlike many of the other Landyachtz boards and offers a very bouncy surf like ride for those who love that style.  Not recommended for bombing hills but rather gives you lots of play when riding on flat and down mellow hills.

Next up we have a couple smaller more traditional skateboards with kicktails.  These are very maneuverable but also for different styles of riding.  The one on bottom called the Surf Life Oceanspray is from their Surf Skate lineup that features their own Polar Bear surfskate trucks.  The front truck turns much shaper and deeper than the regular skate truck on the back.  And creates a very tight turn similar to how it feels surfing and cutting back on a wave.  A lot of fun if you've never tried a surf skate and great on flat ground or urban areas with banks and driveways to thrash up onto.  We have some other similar versions of this board that are equipped with these same surfy trucks and come in various different graphics.  The top board is new and called the Jammer Gravity which is a more traditional cruiser skateboard with traditional style Bear trucks.  Both boards here have smaller 60mm/78a Hawgs wheels that are wide, soft, and grip well.

Here's two more new smaller skate decks from Landyacthz this year that are also versatile and feature very useful kictails.  They both have smaller upturned nosekicks to keep your foot on when shredding hard.  The bigger one here is the ATV Ditch Life with the new Cat Sand graphic.  This board is wide like a pool board with aggressive concave to keep you locked when riding banks, transitions, and yes Ditches!  Downhill ditches like in Albuquerque is where this board shines.  It can be ridden easily at the skatepark too.   The smaller board is one of their many well known Dinghy models, which are sweet little cruisers with better than average concave.  It's made to rip around town and be very agile, lightweight, and get places quickly while having tons of fun.  This one here has a new graphic called the 9 Eyes Cube, very wicked!
